Agreed.
@PASabreFan picked up on it too. What gave it away was how fast Wawrow and Graham responded to it and with a serious tone. Despite other posters attempting to dismiss.
Reading that thread yesterday was amusing to see how quickly people attacked the credibility. Some people don’t want to burn their sources.
I didn’t understand why people were so quick to poo poo it when I thought it was a very real possibility. I know someone mentioned the new scoreboard and roof as proof why he wasn’t selling. When I heard the rumor I immediately thought that may been a condition of the deal.
this is going to be a very interesting summer

Tage update: will miss Worlds and is getting an MRI. Nothing that will effect him this summer or next year but will be out several weeks
Wonder if he messed his hand up again

Adams doubled down on no longer talking about how young this team is.
His tone has shifted from the last time I heard him speak.
Thank God!
It’s go time

Adams believe that the HC of the Sabres will be a sought after position.
Sure sounds like he has someone in mind

Adams is very fiery. He is either getting this thing under control or he is spiralling. Either way the success or trainwreck should be entertaining.
I would prefer an absent Pegula. A highly involved Terry is bad for hockey in this town.
He really kissed his ass right there

How about that Comrie, what a great signing. Now they have to re-sign him for sure.
Typical Sabres. Late season finish and it'll give some people here just enough for them to preach everything's fine, stick with the plan, we are so close, etc.
The reality is they are basically the same as last year and out of the playoffs. They made no progress at all.
Bright spot of the season was Benson. I'd be fine to trade everybody else and build a new team around him. Only guy on the team that plays the right way every single night.
Biggest disappointments were Cozens and I'd say Levi after the hype. I wasn't shocked by it, and he has much future possibility but a lot of people had anointed him as this year's savior so you have to say it's a disappointment. Everything and everybody else was about as expected.
So I saw every game this year. I think that's more a sickness than an accomplishment.
Now for real hockey.
The people on here isn’t who you need to worry feeling that everything is ok. I could see the Sabres sitting on their hands again this season
they finished just above.500 with things “clicking” at the end of the season again. I can see DG and KA thinking that they just need to wait or bring up another young player or two. They really love trust youngest team label

Friday morning, for the pressers, 10:30, I think
Oh they’re definitely spending a day or two in Florida

When is locker clean out and presser?

Cozens earned his 7 mil 🙄

I’m battling for 1st in my fantasy league so I need Tage to score but Bob get the win.

Um, I just heard that this team is so ass backwards that they decided to actually stick up for each other after the season is over. How stupid

Fan Appreciation Day. Given the Sabres track record for playoffs, you would think they would do this game earlier in the season.
I hope Terry is there.
You got jokes.
He doesn’t give a flying ***** about the Sabres. They were the means to an end to get the Bills.

If veterans are not needed to win, explain Dallas who are basically the best team in the league. They have a total of 16 players north of 25, eleven are 30+.
Yeah let’s keep icing 20 year olds because you don’t need Vets to win or wait at least another 2-3 more years before our young players get more experience. I think the Sabres should hold out making the playoffs for a few more years anyway. Let’s hold out for a nice whole number like 15.

You do that by not returning the season ticket invoice.
Exactly! This fan base still supports them by buying tickets and merch. If that stops, Pegula with either sell or do something serious to make this team competitive quickly.

Are we officially eliminated?
Do you want them to miraculously get in? I don’t. They don’t deserve to be in the playoffs
I am not expecting Adams to do jack ***** in the off season. I firmly believe that they have no choice but to stay the course with the “youngest team in the league” thing. Those are the only players they can get for the most part

How can adams with a Straight face go to his fan base and say we’re young team again.
He has no choice.

Agree. It’s not an excuse if there is data behind it. Young teams lose. If Adams fields another roster that averages 24-25 next year then they will consistently lose to rosters that average 28 or more.
I am more sick of the “good veterans won’t come here” narrative. Great excuse for Adams. The Bills overcame that. Step one for Adams, which he still has not done, is to own it and get everyone that works for him to own it.
They need to change the coach.
The good veterans won’t come here narrative is true. This organization has been a complete and utter ***** show for 13 years. No player in their right minds will come to Buffalo if they have a choice or waaaay over paid

Sounds like I’m missing a fun game 🙄.
5 minutes ago, Pimlach said:Real data. The bottom 4-5 teams along with the Sabres have the youngest rosters, just like last year.
Always, in every season, the youngest teams finish on the bottom.
The winning streaks, or lack of, is directly related to two things
1 coaching and getting them ready
2 age/experience/leadership - they have to get themselves ready and be accountable to each other.
We have enough speed and skill. We lack the right veteran know-how, and the leadership from within that comes with it.
I agree that Adams is the primary reason for the roster construction.
Honestly punch, I’m sick and tired of that excuse. They may be young in age, but they are fairly experienced with being professional NHL hockey players. It seems like the front office enjoys the “youngest team” title.
as for Adams being responsible. That’s true but, sadly, they will never get veterans worth a damn who because good veterans don’t want to come play for them. You can put only so much lipstick on a pig.

i was pretty agnostic about Kane to Buffalo, but if the Sabres did make an attempt to sign him and he chose Detroit because he liked the chances there better, I hope Detroit goes down in flames.
Not that he was necessarily wrong, though. LOL
He made the right decision at the time. Detroit did (and still does for the moment) have a better chance. I think he decided with Detroit for more reasons than them having a better chance. The Sabres are a ***** show on and off the ice and everyone knows it that’s why you don’t see any big signings for them

I don’t remember how he said it. If he said he talked with double digits then that may not be a lie. I’m sure many people called him about the opening
