  1. If this doesn't warrant its own topic or is being discussed elsewhere, please feel free to delete. After hearing it again tonight, I get the sense "Yeichel" is here to stay. I know it shouldn't bother me so much, but it just does. As I stated in the GDT, I love RJ as much as anyone else. Yeichel just makes absolutely no sense to me and sounds weirder and weirder every time. There have been so many other nicknames proposed on here involving "Jack" that would be so much more appropriate. If I'm fortunate enough to hear Yeichel 30-40 times this year, I'll probably be so happy that I won't really care. For now, it's just not my bag.

  2. Not sure why you got it the first week, but if you're in the blackout area you're probably not going to get them from here on out. Your going to have to use a VPN service.

just for poops and giggles, I tried the game tonight and I got to watch it live. I am so, so confused.

  3. I bought Gamecenter for the first time this year because I ditched cable. Since I live in Buffalo, basically every game is subject to blackout because it's broadcast on the regional network (MSG). It's not worth it to only get the condensed version after the game or wait 48 hours for the full broadcast. I was able to watch the opener live, so I'm a little confused.

  4. I think RJ is more shell shocked than anything when it comes to Eichel. He just instantly wows us, partially because he's great and partially because we've had too little of that for the past two years. Honestly aside from a few highlight reel goals involving Girgs and Ennis what has RJ got to get all giddy over?

I'm all for him being giddy, but he needs to come up with something else to say. Does Eichel have a nickname of any kind? I'll take anything over "Yeichel".

  5. Where does everybody come out on Legwand vs. Larsson as the 4th line center? First off, if Legwand vs. Larsson isn't even a thing, then please ignore this post. I prefer Larsson and it is largely based on his play at the tail endof last year. I love the youth movement on this team and I feel like Larsson can be a part of that. I know he'll probably be the first guy off the bench, but I feel like he deserves a chance for a bigger role.

  6. It's been exciting watching the potential our offense might have this year. With the defense still being suspect, I can imagine a lot of 5-4 and 4-3 types of games. Who do you think leads the team in scoring this year? If you want to make an actual prediction of stat lines for this year, be my guest. I will say that Ennis leads the team with 71 points.

  7. Now that the development camp is over, we need to wait two months before training camp begins. What is everyone going to do with this lull in the hockey schedule? I guess following the ROR saga could kill some time or perhaps I could take up whittling.
