Kings top LW target is Matt Moulson. Sabres demand Tyler Toffoli in return. Kings could consider if Ehrhoff in deal and Kings would add too
Moulson + Ehrhoff for Toffoli + 2015 1st would be something I'd probably do.
They supposedly have been shopping Justin Williams who has one year left on his deal. Not the worst player in the world to acquire with a Toffoli and 1st round pick for next year.

I still like Vanek as a player. He'll end up somewhere in the Western Conference IMO, unless someone like Detroit overpays.

Also to take into consideration with Edmonton a large portion of their defensive prospects took a step back. Regardless of their current standing that is their main area of need. Whether they trade Gagner, Yakupov or whomever.

Again, I never said Callahan won't make this team better. I said Zemgus doesn't need Callahan to become the best he can be. I said paying Callahan 7x7 is to much impo.
Callahan making 7 million for 7 years is not only scary, its horrifying. I like the player, heck I love the two way game, but at his age; and the fact that he's a good guess to miss 10-15 games a year, there's no way that he's worth that money. I'd take the slow grind with other guys or resign Moulson if he wants to stay over giving Callahan that money. Give me Gionta on lesser terms.

I just got asked to teach an entire course at RIT this spring. I don't have a teaching degree. I've done a couple small summer intro to illustration classes for high schoolers. The most teaching I ever did was martial arts for a few years quite a while ago. All I can say is... the department must be hella desperate to be coming after local alumni to fill their faculty holes.
I may not get it, I may not say yes, my bosses at my full time may not even let me take the time to do it but... I guess I'm just sitting here in awe. I knew the dept. was in trouble but I didn't know it was this bad. Kinda makes me sad. I honestly don't see my repertoire as impressive enough to make sixteen 19-22 year olds listen to me. They're 8 am classes- I guess if I brought in donuts and coffee we could get through anything!!!
Congrats that's quite a feet. Especially with RIT being a top notch college. :) I've done too much partying there in my time.

FWIW, as of 9:47am, Straw is saying Miller to Minnesota for Heatley, and or Granlund or Coyle and Minn 1st round pick.
Wow, I know that Granlund hasn't hit it on all cylinders yet, but god. Please. Coyle would be interesting, make mention of the 1st. = Pipe dream noted. :P

Hmm the Stafford needs to go thread has 1239 more post, but in my opinion Leino needs to go first.
Stafford at least has something limited to offer. Leino would only be of interest to a team coming off a buyout or as a buy low UFA. He's been completely worthless. I just think he's lost all his motivation and is going through the motions.

I think Jhonas has been playing ok, barring the past two games, but Miller has sucked recently as well, so at least they seem to mirror each other there.
Now, I realise it's nowhere near the cup-team you're demanding be in place like two weeks ago but just to spell it out : Miller has won 11 more games than Enroth this season. That's actually quite a lot better.
It pretty much means if Enroth starts the next 12 games, he needs to go 11-1 to match Miller's record.
Completely agree with you. He's been alright given his chances. He has a chance to be a middle of the pack goal tender I think.

A question for those who closely follow the Amerks: Is Armia looking any better lately?
The skill is there, he's just not finishing it. The last game I went to before January 1st, he played the wall very well and transitioned with his speed pretty well...but there were times he looked lost on the ice. Given time he can easily come around.

Bobby Ryan cost a first, Noesen and Silfverberg. I think Eberle is a better player, but they are of the same tier, so that is a good reference point.
I think you would need to add Pysyk or Foligno to our package to make it happen. The Oilers would ask for both.
The thing is, there are elements in place for a deal. If they decide to move Eberle, we need to be players.
I drool at the thought of Hodgson and Eberle together.
It would place my two favorite players from Junior on the same line. I have loved Hodgson since Brampton. It would be a phenominal pairing of talent. One can dream.
Sam Gagner is nothing to write home about. Stafford almost certainly wouldn't be enough, but trading for Gagner isn't exactly trying to get Eberle.

OL, CB, LB, S, TE. Losing Pettine sucks, but it is what it is. Time to continue trudging through the .500 muck to improve this mess.

Ugh, no thanks. He needs to go. Before he signed his cash in deal I wanted him gone. He is such an underacheiving waste of roster space. Give me Brian Gionta on a two year deal. I would take 5 cents on the Canadian dollar to get him out of Buffalo. Great person, good locker room guy, completely inconsistent. He also lacks a consistent motor. He's 50/50 at best in and out each game.
