For old timers trading Peter McNabb to the Bruins for Andre Savard always bothered me. McNabb went on to have many productive years.

If they were picked up on waivers they would have to be kept on their NHL roster. If they trade for them, they can waive them down to their AHL team until they’re needed.

Mostly turnovers in the D zone and defense out of position. Levi gave up one bad one.

Mittlestat is not an All Star. His stats look relatively good because of injuries and underperforming by his teammates. But there are plenty of other NHLers more deserving.

Adams, is a complete doofus. He has really disappointed me this season. And we’re stuck with him. Terry likes him, as he really liked Boterill. It will take Adams disobeying a direct order for Terry to fire him.
Benson got the Savoie treatment; one bad play and they’re benched. 🙄

I wouldn’t want to trade Peterka, Quinn, Benson, Tuch, or Levi. I wish they’d go beyond a fringe trade and offer up Mittelstadt for a veteran with some grit and playoff experience.

It’s possible that too many of the younger players have been given big long-term contracts before they’ve proven they can maintain the level of play that’s expected. They may have lost that hunger to excel, combined with some veterans who are providing diminishing returns.
Cozens, Samuelsson and Skinner are all day to day with UBIs
