the game comes out right around thus time every year so not sure what you meanjust wanted to add. this is not listed as a september patch. the coach grading you when you go to the bench is. sim to next shift is not
set dates don't mean anything to them. they set reveal dates for the next game every year. I don't think they have hit one yet. I will be shocked if they roll out OTP before december hits.

I have played it. yes the game play is improved. improved game play is not going to make the game replayable. They have already made a game that is going to need endless patches. one of the sayings they had on the 360 and ps3 was they wanted to have as few patches to the game as possible due to limited manpower to do them. guess what. 2, 4, 8 months from now they are going to have to do patches if they want to keep people playing the game. one of the biggest ways they kept people playing is not even being included this year (EASHL). the worst part of this whole thing to me is all the time they spent with presentation of the game (the NBC experience) I doubt I am in the minority here but I almost always try to speed thru sequences like that, let me experience the actual game play I don't need a 60 second break for the commentator to run a replay of my awsomeness

You can't really defend the laundry list of modes and features they left out. I played the demo and the gameplay is a million times better. But I play GM mode and EASHL only. I'm not getting the version without EASHL. If your a gm mode, EASHL, live the life then old gen works better. If you are a HUT or okay playing against AI, next gen is for you.
Every other sports franchise managed to carry over their features, while the nhl series skipped an installment to have longer dev times, and didn't carry over much
How can you leave it OVP, that's the best mode there is. Never meant any disrespect to you Numark, it's this other child that's getting under my skin

Don't mean to add to the mud-slinging here, but here's my two cents :
Honestly, if you haven't played it, how can you really tell?
I've played it, and I enjoy the gameplay, which I'll take over different game modes any day.
Programming a hockey game from the ground up must be a huge task, and in the case of the current gen series, they had years to develop and tweak their game engine. Leaving time for developing new and interesting game modes.
NHL07 wasn't a very good game. They ended up pretty much having to do NHL08 from scratch, or at least that's how it felt. NHL08 was an improvement so huge, it felt like a different franchise altogether,
NHL15 is an improved hockey experience over NHL14, which I feared it wouldn't be.
I'm sorry, you can call me EA fanboy or whatever, but I would've hated for them to focus so much of their energy into adding different game modes, that they ended up programming a bad game they would need to patch on for years to come.
Hey man, it doesn't matter if they played it or not, didn't you read the month old article saying it sucks? Haha

Unless things have changed, EA has confirmed EASHL will not be making it into nhl 15 for xbox one or PS4. Why do you think it is coming (honest question)?

What in the world are you talking about? EA said they are going to try and add stuff in via patch (not EASHL). But they have failed at that promise before.

I've played tons of eashl, legend 3, it's coming in an update, majority of the people read a blog and get upset. Don't buy 15 I don't care. Not attacking anyone. If you all don't want to buy the game, then don't. There's plenty of people online for me to play so I don't really care. But in 2 months when you realize what ea said was true and the reviews are confused fans venting, don't be upset when the true hardcore fans ability at the game was surpass yours.
wow you are an incredible ###### stick. in two months you will be congratulating yourself for beating the one person left that is willing to play the game in online mode, in 1 on 1 mode. the game is a unpolished turd the only conclusion I can come to is you either work for EA and your panties are so tight it is cutting blood circulation or you are so excited by new improved game play that you honestly think taking away features that have been in game since nhl94 is a super awsome idea. Either way if you are the target audience EA is trying to please I weep for future NHL releases

It's incomplete NHL without features I don't give two ###### over that everyone is making a HUGE deal about or no nhl for anyone with a next gen. The game play is 10x better then NHL 14. I probably play more of both then anyone on this site. In two months when you buy the game Cuz it's complete and I'm way better then you Cuz I've been playing for a long time remember this

I have a ps4, everyone complaining about the missing stuff doesn't have a next gen system. It's September and I want to play NHL. I actually thank Ea for releasing it even though it's incomplete so I can play. There will be updates bringing the missing stuff back, so quit reading the blogs and chill out. Sorry had to be said.

I have a couple of recommendations:
1. Sold-out arenas in passionate hockey markets are much better, IMHO, than half-empty arenas where no one gives a crap. So: Philly, Rangers, Montreal, Minnesota, Boston, maybe Nashville, etc.
2. If you want to wear a Sabres jersey and/or cheer for the Sabres, sit in the lower bowl. The meatheads who are willing to start something usually are in the upper deck.
3. Wait until noon on game day and then buy your tickets on Stubhub.

The NHL announced changes on how the 2015 draft lottery will be held. At first glance I believe the changes increase the odds that the Sabres get the top pick. First of all, I don't believe the Sabres will finish in the bottom two. I believe they will miss the playoffs and enter the lottery. The new rules increase the chances that lottery teams can win the first pick, therefore Buffalo's odds improve. I honestly don't believe the Sabres are smart enough to go into the tank to get a top two pick. Knowing how things happen in Buffalo they will finish 5th worst and avoid getting McDavid or Eichel.
Well the odds are decreased for teams that finish 27th to 30th, so assuming the sabres and the islanders finish out of the bottom 4 our odds will increase. However, if either team finishes inside of the bottom 3, our odds are reduced. The odds say that the sabres will finish bottom 3 so the odds are that our odds will be reduced. I hope everyone can understand, that's a lot of odds.
The only way these changes can help us is for the islanders to win the lottery outside of the bottom 4. What would be really sweet is of we finished last and the islanders won the lottery.

I honestly think Chris Stewart is going to make a big jump this year, for some reason he wasn't on the poll though. I've always liked him and I think if he can stay healthy he will have a very good chance to lead this team in points. Most people don't know that he's been kind of plagued by injuries most of his career, if he could stay healthy and we resigned him that trade could have brought in more then anyone anticipated.
I'm really hoping for good seasons for Myers, Ristolainen and Grigorenko. I don't know if it's possible but I'd like to see great years from everyone of our young guns, and still finish last.

A generational talent is absolutely not necessary to win the Stanley Cup, anybody could tell you that.
Do the Buffalo sabres need McDavid/Eichel to win a Stanley Cup? Absolutely not, that being said the sabres do need some serious help, building a solid core and adding depth in every position. We have set ourselves up very nicely in that regard, not going to waste my time explaining, everyone should know our picks and prospects.
That being said, while I've never seen Gretzky play, I have seen Crosby. What a treat that was, just seeing the small things he does so well. He takes the game to another level of intensity and speed, undoubtedly a better, more entertaining game with him in it.
Do the sabres need McDavid? I encourage everyone in the Buffalo area to go watch McDavid when he's in town, especially the people against the "tank"(hate calling it that). You'll realize, we don't need McDavid, what a luxury it would be if we had him.
To sum it all up, a generational talent isn't exactly synonymous with Stanley cups. I think having one would be great for the city, I'm sure pegula wouldn't mind it considering his investments either.
