  1. Alright the MLB postseason starts tomorrow, let's hear some predictions

    NL:

WC: Pirates over Cubs (the experience and home field is too much for the Cubs to handle, and Cole can match with Arietta)

NLDS: Cardinals over Pirates, Mets over LA

    NLCS: Mets over Cardinals

    AL:

WC: Yankees over Astros (Keuchel vs Tanaka, I have faith Tanaka hangs with him to hand it over to our bullpen, and we can beat the Astros bullpen)

ALDS: Royals over Yankees, Blue Jays over Rangers

    ALDS: Blue Jays over Rangers

    WS: Mets over Blue Jays

The Mets starting pitching gets it done, and with Cespedes, Wright, Duda, and Granderson, they have just enough offense to lose to Price twice, but compete otherwise against a formidable Jays lineup.

    I love this guy!

Not very confident about this, but gotta go with my team!

  2. Hoss, I admire your dedication to the "Tannehill is good" train, but he's still just average. Every stat and the eyes say the same thing. Average.

Ok, our judgement may be clouded here, but you have to choose between Tyrod and Tannehill for the QB of the Bills. Who are you taking?

I'm taking Tyrod. No one would have said that 2 months ago.

  3. I know I've probably annoyed the hell out of everyone, but this place really is awesome. I've had alot of fun today and forgot all about the Bills disaster. I was in such a grouchy mood and now I'm ready again for the next disappointment in Buffalo sports sure to come.

I didn't get much or any work done today, but that's ok. I regained my Buffalo sports spirit!

  4. Well if Joe Girardi were my boss, I'd likely be an alcoholic too.

And laugh it up Met fan......while you can

Oh I'm well aware of what to expect being a Mets fan. Not freakin' much. But when was the last time the Mets were in a better position than the Yankees? I can't let this pass. Who knows when it will happen again. :)

    367 days too late.

    ###### a Met.

Who's your type? Wright? Harvey? Bartolo? Terry Collins?

  5. Tannehill is still a good NFL QB. As if other QBs don't say similar things. He's part of a ###### show and has certainly contributed to it in his own ways, but you don't put up stats like he did last year without the ability.

And let's not forget how bad that entire team is right now. Suh has done absolutely nothing (less than Tannehill)... Does that mean he's no good? No, it doesn't.

it really is priceless that he's talking trash to the practice squad who is making him look bad, though. He could've at least thrown in a "my wife is way hotter than yours" in there too.

  6. Agree with you 100% on these points. Murray himself stated something along the lines of missing the playoffs and winning the lottery. But that comment was a shot at the league. Not about our make up this year.

If I had to make a bet, and bet everything I own, and there was some way to actually determine this, I would bet that Murray would like another high draft pick this year to be used on the best blue liner he can get.  That he doesn't realistically think we're going to be competing for the playoffs.  Just my reading of things.

  7. Who's the (former) Tannheill fanboy around these parts?

    Eee gads.

On Saturday during practice, Tannehill, after a couple of practice squad players forced turnovers, Tannehill made negative comments toward them, including saying: "Enjoy your practice squad paycheck, enjoy your practice squad trophy."

Philbin told the practice squad players to take it easy on Tannehill to not affect the young quarterback's confidence.

Well at least I don't feel badly at all anymore for hating Tannehill.  What a douche.

  8. I can't believe that anyone even for a minute would think that our GM would be on the sidelines doing nothing after all he has said and done. The man doesn't strike me as standing on the sidelines doing a full Darcy if there's a deal to be had.

Unless this is a desired "development" year, which many have stated/speculated.  I'm arguing against the "development" year mindset because:  1.) It doesn't have to be a "development" year.  2.) Improving and competing for the playoffs and "development" are not mutually exclusive, especially when all we're replacing/upgrading are Donoco, who are not likely long timers anyhow.

Regardless, I think I've stated my case, and I'll shut up now.  It's extremely likely not happening anyway, and there may not be any good deals to be had, but now is the time that it would happen with rosters being finalized around the league.

  9. ...and replaced him with their tight ends coach. How bad does your team have to be to think the best option for head coach is a (relatively) minor position coach?

Well I just realized that I don't know who our tight ends coach is without Google, so that seems pretty bad.  They are only a game and tiebreaker worse than us at this point though

  10. I think we agree actually.  The Islanders addressed short and longer term.  I'm only looking for that circumstance, but it doesn't appear to be available.  I also think that I'm less inclined to value Donoco, since they seem like short timers to me at this point.  If we can upgrade them relatively cheaply, and address both short and longer term needs, go for it and don't just write this year off in advance.
