Aside from the Wildcard race I really want them to snap this losing to Florida thing.

See what through? He hasn't done anything other than meet with them once. What are we seeing through?
Actual in person meetings to try for stability. Not saying he will succeed but strategic patience has led to years of nuclear testing and development. As brutal as KJU is he is the leader of that country and hopefully down the road those people will know a better life.
Yes we have only met with them once but that leads to another and another. The old way leads to war. If it comes to that so be it but the men and women who go should know we tried something.

I think people were onboard with Amazon HQ2 until the number $1.2B was thrown out there with regards to the tax breaks they were getting. That's pretty damn significant for a company of Amazon's stature. It's not a healthy way to try and grow. But that's a different topic.
I do agree with the media influence. If only media were truly unbiased. I've not found a single unbiased one yet. Even NPR, who people like to point to, has a pretty clear agenda. At least in much of their news programming
My question is how did the people of that district benefit?
The whole dynamic of our country got weird in a hurry. Kid at the University of California said he’d cut his penis off if one mile of wall was built. Really buddy, you are racking up loan debt and that’s what you learned about how to take a stand? We have Amazon who would’ve got tax breaks to create jobs but we don’t want that because big corporations are bad. Meanwhile these same people use big company social media to broadcast their views. What???
Someone please tell me what is the end goal for our society. What is life like for the American family and how do we get there?

My prediction:
Sabres will be buyers at the deadline. Beaulieu and Nylander plus a couple more are the bait. KO’s injury saves him from being traded. JBott is likely not happy about Scandella’s injury because I think he is/was on the block. I also think a first round pick is on the block as well. JBott is going after a 2C first and foremost. If he gets it this will be the first inflated contract he gives this offseason.
FL1 and FL4 are good to go leaving the middle six. FL3 with Smith-ERod-TT is fine for this year. This leaves FL2. JBott’s vision:
Mitts-New Guy-Sam
GMs Intent: Get to the playoffs this year expecting a round 1 loss. Appease the fans and ownership to buy more confidence. Offseason includes a turnover on D except Risto, Dahlin and McCabe. Sobotka, KO, Scandella, and Bogo are moved for veteran players who can still play while changing some attitudes. Next year’s goal is round 1 but capable of 2, no Cup expectations.
Following season we see the real Buffalo Sabres. Young core are now veterans with experience in winning and playoffs. No excuses. Two years of drafts and trades restocks the Amerks and we become a franchise who develops NHL players, not trading for them.
Next Few Years:
Do not be surprised if Sam is moved and offers for Jack are made. Dahlin is the franchise player, not Jack. This doesn’t mean I want him moved unless the price is perfect. Risto will be the D anchor and stays but gets second pair minutes. Hutton gets moved for a short term back up and pick. Ullmark is the man.
If Jack is moved Skinner becomes C, Dahlin and 2C get the A. Our additions lead to heavy bodies increasing physical play which leads to puck control in the OZone limiting the need for all our attack rushes and odd man opportunities. Bigger bodies on the PP bring it back to where it needs to be. Memes of Leaf fans crying dominate the internet.

Bernie Sanders announces his candidacy for 2020. IMO he is currently the best chance the DNC has because of the support he likely maintains from 2016. The foundation is there where as the other Dems have to build their national support outside of their constituents. However, I think the old man is jumping the gun.
The other Dems are building the lowest foundations of their base. At some point they will focus on each other. I think he’d be better off letting them establish their own messages and tear each other apart while avoid the political firing squad. Essentially skipping the side show, using his national support to gain access to prime time debates later and coming in later in the game while giving Dem opponents as little prep as possible.
I have this feeling Biden is going to do the above. Call me crazy but I think he will pick Michelle Obama or Kamala Harris drops out and becomes his running mate.

I didn't mind back in the day we gave up that 1st rounder. But seeing he drafted him, knew him pretty well, his mental problems should have been very well known by TM.
If he didn't then he sucked even more as a gm, you don't give out a 1st for a goalie with mental problems, also he didn't seem to do much to help him here.
Maybe GMTM was well aware of all the issues. He comes in and promotes a fast rebuild and knows he has to back it up with action. We get dazzled with move after move which creates false hope and stops us from researching how these moves affect us.
GMTM knows if he makes Lehner get help it goes public. Cats outta the bag our rookie GM used a first to get a tainted goalie. I wonder if TP found this out and it was part of his decision to fire GMTM. Total loss of ethical confidence.

I’m not even being sarcastic but what exactly did Berglund do when he was on the ice?
He quit on the team for some reason and I don’t think anyone is sad over it.
Just saying if your absence is not a big deal then neither is your presence. Life lesson. Be remembered for something you did or forgotten for everything you didn’t. ?

Watching VGK and COL. During the power play they used the behind the net camera angle. This is by far the best angle during extended zone possession. It really lets you see what is happening. I wish you could switch your tv feed between camera angles.

He's better than a point-per-game player on a team that can't score. He's 9 points clear of the 2nd leading scorer on the team.
Even games where this board claims he's the worst player on the ice, he still posting 2 assists.
I get he's the shiny object on the ice, but calling out the only point-per-game player the Sabres have had over the last 12 years in a thread about scoring doesn't make much sense.
The Sabres have 3 legit top 6 fowards on the team. That's why they're not scoring. No team can make the playoffs with one strong line and 3 weak ones.
Want to fix the Sabres scoring? Fill out the second line with legit top six foward talent. That's what's really wrong with this team.
I think we all thought he would put the team on his back and carry us to the promise land. That is far from happening but in fairness he is not surrounded by the same players Sid and Ovi are. I have been as or more critical of Jack. A point of contention is his lack of shooting confidence and how he disengages from physical play.
We don't have three bad lines. Larry's line plays physical and can generate zone time. We have two lines good at what they are designed to do and two lines that don't do much of anything. We come back top the middle six problem.

Maybe Malkin is getting back some of what he dishes out? He's a dirty player that gets away with it because Syndy and Pitt...
I agree they have dirty, whiny players. It just seems like refs this year are missing clear calls league wide. Or maybe I'm just paying more attention to refs lately and it only seems like this.

Smith-ERod-TT should be entertaining. Three guys who work hard and can score. Looking forward to seeing them try to create.
I expect Yandle will pull his crap again by targeting a smaller player. All I want is someone to respond. I don’t care who it is just do something. Here’s a novel idea, go after him first. Ride him hard into the boards, Chirp him, show no fear.

War is one way to do it but not necessarily North Korea versus someone. A civil war would create a power vacuum South Korea could fill. Their people are hungry and abused.
The meetings could simply be Trump’s way of ensuring NK doesn’t do anything to hurt his polling numbers on NK. But it’s been so long since NK seemed to highlight the news hour. I think he really wants to see this through if for no reason than to show it can be done.

It's certainly not the best there is to offer. But why do people go into politics in the first place? It's not a well paying job, in theory. Sure, it's better in salary than a lot of jobs out there, but the people who enter politics (many lawyers, etc.) are talented enough to make good money in a different profession. There aren't a lot of electricians or line workers going into politics.
The real money of politics is, of course, not in the salary. It's in all the stuff that surrounds it. It's those surroundings that corrupt everything.
It's just clear that while so many people, at least in my circles, seem to be aware of the issue, there are far too many who are living each day oblivious to their world or at the very least so misinformed and sold on it that they don't want to know different.
Too many people take what Fox or CNN tells them and regurgitate it as their own thought. Now we have this weird thing starting from AOC’s area how feelings are as important as facts which is an excuse to lie. Oh look I’m mad at big, evil, scary corporations so let’s not allow Amazon to open a HQ. People don’t need those jobs.

When you ask that question, take into account how these people get into their positions to begin with.
As unpopular as an opinion as it seems to be, the American people are too easily influenced into believing misinformation. Either they are the one's who are too stupid or they are too distracted to be be informed enough. Either way, it leads to blind partisanship. This blind partisanship, combined with people's in ability to admit their own mistakes, leads to excuse making rather than owning their role in the situation.
This is what I’m talking about in my last post and a few others. People who want power want voters to think right versus left. This keeps them distracted so they don’t think big picture.
Some people we elect are genuine I hope. But cmon, look at the majority of them. This isn’t the best America has to offer. News flash, you don’t need someone else to decide how you live your life and feelings do not mean more than facts.

Agreed. Aside from the sketchyness of KJU there are so many third party influences. However I don’t see how war on the peninsula would benefit any involved. IMO the U.S. should take the lead on easing tensions but hand it off to South Korea. It has to be on the Korean leaders to unify. If not it will come undone.

So since we started the GDT early, which I’m starting to like, shall we discuss predictions, lineups and the like?

Are you sure? I was going from a famous speech made by some famous character. It was featured in some documentary, or other, about animals and the houses in which they live, IIRC. I will pull a LGR and try to find and post a link to a YouTube clip.
I am 100% sure the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor. Some say we provoked the attack by freezing their assets in response to invading Indo China. Either way much of the U.S. Pacific fleet was in port on Oahu and Japanese pilots were pretty much on a one way trip. However some landed including in mainland U.S. Pearl Harbor and Hickman Air Force Base have recently merged I believe and is the home of US-INDPOPACOM.
At the time I think there was some talks between Japan and Germany but I’m not sure to what extent. For the Germans to attack Pearl Harbor they would’ve had to link up with the Pacific Ocean which, although I think they still had a non aggression pact with Russia, would’ve been impossible because of their petroleum issues, western front commitments, and incapable transport routes. It would have also negated the military aid the U.S. gave Russia in WW2 as any action to aid Germany’s attack would’ve been seen as an act of war, fundamentally changing the geopolitical dynamics.

LOL ... I edited my original post, but only to add a 'reason to edit'.
Well you said some players are good at tit and Japan attacked Pearl Harbor. Interesting fact, some of the Japanese pilots made it to mainland U.S.

Canada's Watergate

Things are happening all over the world. Truths are coming and media is continuing to show they are propaganda. In a nut shell we are seeing the control of corrupt governments slowly eroding as truth comes to light. The way these people try to keep us distracted is through division by race, gender, religion, sexual orientation and class.
Whenever something revealing is about to drop there is some incident. One example is when the Virginia Governor got caught doing blackface right after the abortion bills were signed. It’s all meant to distract.
We also had an actor say he was attacked for being black and gay by “MAGA” supporters. That now looks very much like the actor (victim) set it up himself. Funny how he says they were wearing MAGA hats. I wonder what the point of that was.
Media outlets in the U.S. and Europe write many articles trying to debunk leading conspiracy theories and are now trying to say how they are dangerous. Why so much attention if it’s only conspiracy theories?
Both right and left do these things. We still never found those WMDs in Iraq but during those early years there was this color coded alert system to let Americans know the terror threat. They no longer have it on the news because it was meaningless accept to keep people in fear in order to further our campaigns. BTW we found precious metals in Afghanistan. What a coincidence.
What you are seeing in Canada we are seeing here. Weaponizing of government agencies to target those who don’t go along, sexually predatory behavior of politicians, and lie after lie.
