nice deflection...smh... let me say again, if you don't like the criticism after a bad loss, don't come on ...

I find it funny that you equate whining with criticism. I guess that's you tacitly admitting that you whine all the time.

Wait, he's playing?  That would be one crazy turnaround after just starting to practice... then you mix in the unusual travel

You want to talk crazy recovery? Jerry Rice tore his ACL and MCL in the season opener in 1997 (almost 35, over a year older than Von was), and came back for the season finale.

  3. Allen was doing fine until trying to play hero ball.  Small plays aren't flashy, but they were getting the job done against what might end up being the best defense in the league.  Such a shame that Allen and/or Dorsey can't control themselves for an entire 60.

Question: how many players not drafted in the top 1/2 of the 1st round make the Pro Bowl in their 1st couple of seasons?

Considering the number of people who make the Pro Bowl at all in their first couple seasons is going to be limited, I imagine it's pretty rare.  I don't know if there's an easy way to look that up.

I did forget that Beane showed up after the draft that year. The rest of my point stands- even if he only drafted one all pro at the QB position, what teams are pulling them out of every draft, or even every other draft? Because any time anyone quantifies this, no matter the way they do it, they come to the conclusion that Beane is either good or excellent.

2017 and 2018 were both very good draft years. Two All Pros in Tre White and Milano, multiple-time Pro Bowlers in Dawkins, Edmunds, Allen, and Wyatt Teller.

The problem is that there hasn't been any great success since then. The combined number of pro bowls by players drafted by the Bills since: 1 (Dawson Knox, 2022).  I wonder how many other teams can say that have drafted no more than a combined 1 Pro Bowl appearance since 2019.

  6. My mom refused chemo and I lost her to cancer. Now, my friend's mom, who has been like a second mother to me for the last decade, is refusing chemo for her cancer and slowly going downhill.  I'm reliving a nightmare. It makes me sad, depressed, and so irrationally angry.

Yet, poeple just LOVE to put their high beams on when they see a pedestrian on the side of the road, absolutely BLINDING that pedestrian

I've been running a lot at night lately to avoid the heat and this happens to me all the time. The sidewalk I run on at night is basically right next to the road, so I often have to literally stop so I don't go in the road while blinded.

  8. Took a friend to the hospital today to get some fluid drained. I decided to bring my Tab S7+ for entertainment while in the waiting room.

Except I left it on the roof of the car, where it stayed until I was driving down the road. After hearing a weird thud, I took a second to realize what had happened.

Turned around, found the case and SPen in the middle of the road and the tablet flung off to the side, clearly run over. Dagnabbit. So infuriating.

Wow, just saw an ESPN article that everyone did not pick the Bills to win the division. Have we honestly been overtaken that quickly? This could be a long season for us. Horrible schedule, and same defensive first kind of plan. I hope a lot of the games are not televised in Jersey!! I cannot afford to destroy more cell phones! LOL

Probably a good thing. The team, like many in professional sports, plays better with a chip on its shoulder. They will have a lot to prove this season.

I do think the Jets have the potential to be truly fearsome if Rodgers regains his magic.

Also, this is a personal thing, but the fact it was a 'part 1'.  Yes, the movie had an 'end' to it and it was a 'complete movie', but to get the full story you know another part is coming.

I'm not a fan of this either. I generally won't go see a movie in the theater if it's a part one. The only exceptions I can think of are Infinity War (which was originally going to be Infinity War, Part 1) and The Fellowship of the Ring.  I'm eager to see the new Spiderverse movie, but I'll just wait until it hits streaming.

  11. McDermott and Beane came in, cleared out some of our most physically gifted players (Watkins, Dareus, Gilmore), but replaced them with a complete culture change, an immediate winning season, and playoffs. And that's before Allen even arrived on the scene.

Nick Taylor won the Canadian Open golf tournament, first Canadian to win since 1954.

Pat Fletcher, the guy that won in '54, was born in England, so Taylor is the first Canadian-born player to win it since 1914.

  13. Cleveland. When I was growing up, my uncle lived near Cleveland and I used to visit him and his family every summer. He got me into the Guardians.  The Bisons becoming affiliated with them only strengthened the bond.

And, of course, given the championship success of the Guardians/Indians, it's only natural that I feel at home as a Sabres/Bills fan, heh.
