Nice...but the mens final was one for the ages.
Alcaraz and Sinner are 22 and 23 years old, have both held #1 rank, and have now taken 6 consecutive grand slams in a row between the two of them.
This might be the start of one of the greatest rivalries in sports.

Well, it wasn't Jessica, but Coco Gauff is the first American to win the French Open since Serena's last in 2015.
-
Well, it was a nice run, but the Hurricanes had to eventually win a conference final game since that fateful day almost 19 years ago.
0-15 was fun while it lasted.

I'm jealous of the west coasters who are fans of east coast teams. 10AM football sounds really nice. Practically have the whole day left over if you need it, and late games aren't nearly as late.

Gabe Davis was the best blocking WR we've had in a long time. If he didn't drop half the balls thrown his way, he'd be a very good, maybe even great receiver.
I'd take him back on a very cheap deal.

By inference that because we lost X amount of receiving yards from one game that those in charge of building the team are screwing up by not seeing the reason for concern that you clearly see.
So, instead of taking me at my word, you're building yourself a wonderful little strawman. I never said anyone was screwing up. I never said not taking a receiver high in the draft was screwing up. Try again. You're better than that.
23 hours ago, PromoTheRobot said:Of course you ignore the yet-to-be realized receiving yardage from new Bills receivers Josh Palmer and now Elijah Moore. That's not even counting the yards from a fully healthy Curtis Samuel. And of course being only May 1, there's still over 4 months before the start of the season and players sign at any time.
I can't ignore something that doesn't yet exist. You can't just pretend these guys will perform, especially when they haven't wowed thus far in their career. I sure hope they do. Moore (who wasn't even on the team when this discussion started, so that makes it literally impossible to NOT "ignore the yet-to-be realized receiving yardage" by him) has had some pretty mediocre QBs and offenses, so it would be nice if he found something here with us. But it's probably more likely that he's just a bust. Third team at age 25.
23 hours ago, PromoTheRobot said:Invent a problem, complain about said problem. You'd think this regime earned some benefit of the doubt with their record. Apparently not.
Invent words I never said. Complain about words I never said. Again, you're better than this.

Sure, criticize the Sabres for missing the playoffs for 14 years. But criticize a team as successful as the Bills? Have an opinion about what they should do, but to act like Brandon Beane and Sean McDermott are incompetent boobs is laughable.
Show me where I've acted like either of them are incompetent.
I'll wait.

No one thought Hollins was anything before last season. This year we have Josh Palmer and a healthy Curtis Samuel. And it's likely we will add one more free agent. Don't panic. Beane knows what he's doing.
And the WR room was a concern last year as well. That doesn't make it not a concern this year.
You do know that it's okay to criticize your favorite team, yes? You don't have to be a sycophant.

Speaking of Allen, you don't see many QBs do this:
Threw a pick, made the tackle, forced the fumble through the endzone to get it back for a 1st down, further down the field than he started. Never give up on a play. I also like how he immediately signaled the touchback.

You don’t really think the lack of production from receivers cost them that game?
I understand where you are coming from but first, they acquired Palmer who was amongst the league leaders in separation, second, Shakir and Kincaid are among the leaders, third, you have to hope Coleman makes some strides although he wasn’t a great separator in college either but fourth, and most importantly, I’m sure he’d love to have a top receiver but you can’t have everything you want and it’s hard to argue with the success they’ve had as well as addressing an area that was far more problematic then receiver separation.
You think the receivers performing better wouldn't have helped them win?
You think having a criticism of one aspect means the entire loss is to blame on that one aspect?
Shakir was high in separation because his aDOT was under 3 yards. He caught a ton of screen passes which boosts his catch percentage as well as his separation numbers.
Coleman was dead. last. in the league in separation. He has quite literally nowhere to go but up.
5 minutes ago, Mr. Allen said:And by the way. Jeremy White knows what goes on in NFL football just as much as regular fans. Which is very very little.
Someone doesn't agree with you, obviously that just means they know very, very little.
Good argument.

This isn’t actually true. Three of them were in the top fifteen in separation. You can Google it or maybe I will when I get around to it.
It is actually true. It's one of the reasons Dan Orlovsky voted for Allen over Jackson for MVP. He explicitly stated that Buffalo had a bottom 5 team at separation. I don't have access to PFF grades anymore, but their data also agrees.
-
Woops, I counted the TEs. It's even worse than that.
Shakir: 46 yards
Coleman: 12 yards
Samuel: 4 yards
62 yards.

Wasn’t Hollins a member of that worst in the league separation group? Just sayin…..
Just saying what?
82. That's how many yards WRs had against KC in the AFC CG that are still on the team.
82.
But no, the WR room is fine. Good. Perfect, even.

BIlls receivers were among the worst in the league in separation and it took a literal MVP effort from Allen to produce with them. And then they lost one of their key receivers in Mack Hollins. To say that the WR room isn't a concern is foolish.

I don't follow enough college football to have any sense of the draft. I'm just curious to see who we pick after the fact and also hoping like hell the Patriots don't get Travis Hunter.

When you look at the criteria used for the rankings it rewards the cities that have the most pizza places, the cheapest prices and how many on line searches there are. So too me that indicates we are lazy and cheap. Kind of like our hockey team at the moment.
If you look at the data, you'll see that Buffalo's average large cheese or pepperoni pizza is more expensive than any other city in the top 7. That means more expensive than (in order) Rochester, Philly, Boston, Detroit, New Haven, and Pittsburgh. It's not until NYC at 8th that a more expensive pizza comes into play.

Congrats to Lindy for his 600th win as a Sabres HC.

The Bills' receiving corps was one of the worst in the league at getting separation. Imagine how much more deadly it would be if they could get open.

The fact you don’t understand what reparations are but use it to back up an insult is funny 😂
I haven't even remotely indicated that I don't know what reparations are. The fact that you say something over and over doesn't make it true. But that is the Trumpian way. Lie, lie, lie, and people will eventually believe it.

If you did you would see that relationships with near peer countries isn’t simping. It’s holding some balance while still maintaining/establishing dominance in politics, economics, and multiple domains of military capabilities.
I asked you to connect the logic. Since you can't, you resort to "you lack an understanding". So, this tells me you can't follow the logical steps that resulted in your conclusion *or* that your conclusion was a lie and that you knew there was no way to logically connect the two. Either way, you failed spectacularly.

It’s not that he isn’t bad if you want to win the cup. It’s that we have proof he’s good enough to be your best player when you win the cup
“I’m so sad we had to settle for a guy capable of leading the Stanley cup playoffs in points while playing a dominant 2 way game”
Eichel was never dominant here. He has clearly continued to mature his game in Vegas.
That said, McDavid is the best player of the generation, and it's foolish to think we didn't have to settle for Eichel. Downright lunacy.

Ah yes, I keep whining. I made one *single* post about it, which offended you. Now, go search through my post history and tell me when was the last time I whined about it.

My point won't change just because you don't like my answer.
If you want to continue to lament the draft of 10 years ago, have at it.
So your point is that you have nothing relevant to say. Got it.

You can't figure out the point?
Having Eichel on a team isn't such a bad thing if your goal is to win the Cup.
How is that an argument against the fact that we had to settle for Eichel? Lots of players aren't bad to have on your team if your goal is to win a cup.
So, again I say, your point?

Not just the playoffs. Buffalo had the third worst third down defense for the entire season.
