Cliff notes?
-
If there is one thing I have learnt from the last decade of being a Sabres fan, it's that just one more coach might be what we need to fix all our issues

96.2 PDO for the season. Has to change at some point. Right?
-
I fully expect a shutout. And not the good kind.
-
Across an 82 game schedule, Eichel is on track for 11 goals. How many one goal games have we lost?
Eichel - 11
Hall - 5
Skinner - 0
Okposo - 0
The issue with this team isn’t the defence, goalies or cheap forwards. Those four players combine for $33.5 million and would be on track for 16 goals in a normal season.

Quite a fall from the NHL

He's out for a while. No Risto. No McCabe. We've lost our grit
Flashes of life from Dahlin this game

I get people are blaming Ralph for this.
But no matter how janky a system is, the players should be scoring more than they are.
Jack is on pace for a 13 goal season. Most of his points feel like they have been secondary assists.
if players play this poorly it is also on them.

Maybe we could rehire Ron Rolston to coach us?

Does covid protocol mean the players have tested positive?

Pull a moment from this season where we have seen the Dhalin magic?
Where is the kid who even attempts this? Because he certainly isn't on the Sabres right now.
I disagree. I think we have seen him try those moves and it just hasn't resulted in a goal yet

Has anyone looked at what he has done to the Pens? Atrocious trades and signings

I actually agree with quite a bit of RK's postgame assessments. I think he is clearly identifying the major problems. The question is: can he fix them?
I don't think it's about "work ethic," as some here say. I think they are working their a#@'s off, but not always in the smartest, most efficient ways, and they are not connecting.
What did he say?

Hutton is sub .900 after 5 games. We can't expect to routinely win games with this. I think Comrie probably has better stats now
-
We put three goals on Comrie. He wasn't the problem.
We can't expect to score 5 goals every game to win. We need a goalie that won'r routinely allow 4 goals a game.
-
Three goals within the last 16 seconds for three periods

I wonder if playing super well but not getting rewarded early on in the season broke their psyche slightly?
Feels like they have not been as dominate against weaker opposition
-
Teams probably lick their lips when Eichel line starts on the ice. They know they’ll get some nice offensive zone time
-
I’d rather be lucky than good...
-
The line I have noticed the most over the last 5 or so games is Skinner - Lazar - Sheahan. The line I have generally noticed the least is Eichel's. He has been decent on the power play but seems to spend most of his 5 on 5 shifts trapped in the defensive zone

He has one skate out the door already. I don’t blame him.
Why?
This is the best team he has been part of. Why tank your chance to make the playoffs? His alleged unhappiness is with the Sabres not making the playoffs. Why would he not want to make the playoffs for another year?

Jack has looked very pedestrian this season. Not a single dominant shift to my recollection.

The Skinner stuff is odd. There must be some drama behind the scenes.
Even a punishment benching is usually 1-2 games at most
