  1. Actually 70% of Ehlers scoring came while Drouin was on the bench.

On that point you could argue that the others team best players always were lined up against drouin and ehlers didnt have to play against the number 1 line of the opponent... there is always pros and cons

    _______________

I mean there is no way that MacKinnon would have put up +60 points on last years sabres team

  2. Well if we go by even strength scoring:

    Bennett - 1.04ppg, 0.44g

    Reinhart - 1.08ppg, 0.37g

    Draisaitl - 0.98ppg, 0.39g

Those are the top 3 forwards even strength scoring stats. Interestingly Bennett is the best at even strength.

and still in buffalo the numbers could be

    Bennett 0.32ppg

    Reinhart 1.68ppg

    Draisaitl 1.33ppg

You never know that kind of stuff.... depends on linemates ... good tema or bad team. system the team plays....

Bennett could put up 50 goals for buffalo next year and might would only put up 9 for calgary.

It makes more sense to watch at strengths and weaknesses instead of numbers

  3. I have issues with all those stats :D

In the end it always depends on what kind of style the team plays he ends up.

MacKinnon might not have had such a great year if he would have played in Buffalo or for the Islanders... I look more at the attitude then at the skillset.

  4. I really hope Florida picks Ekblad.

Then there might be a huge change that we can make a trade with the Oilers that see us end up with the 2nd and 3rd overall pick. Question is what Defender would Edmonton want from Buffalo. They would also get a 2nd pick round as they dont pick until the 4th round. Buffalo has 3 2nd rounders so HELLO EDMONTON! But what Defender would Edmonton want? Pysyk? Ristolainen? Zadorov? McCabe?

  5. Draisaitl is not going to be Gretzky like. He is mostlikely not going to be going MacKinnon or Crosby or Toews or whatever like.

You never know how a player developes. Even Reinhart or Bennett or Ekblad could be busts.

You can just say where they are now. And there was an article on the IIHF website comparing his efforts at the IIHF with what Kopitar did back then prior to his draft

Comparing players at the same stages is possible but to say this player will be like..... is crap...

    Here is the article

  6. Watching the IIHF WOrlds as Draisaitl is on Team Germany...

Maybe an advantage for him, that he can show his play against "Men teams" prior to the Draft. Yesterday 1 game germany won 2:1 and he had an assist.

Summary... so strong on the puck and he protects it perfectly... skating needs work but impressive how he always knows where on the ice his teammates are. slick and clear passes and everytime he is on the ice he creates something.

Germany playing against Ted Nolan and Girgensons right now. Germany leads Latvia 1:0

  7. I think SUlz was that very reliable 7th man. He wouldn't demand a spot, he wouldn't go to the media complaining about it. He would do his job if needed and did that in a great way. The injuries really blew his chances here. Could have been a solid 5th or 6th dmen however with all those prospects no room for him in Buffalo.
