  1. I think Scott Luce’s Contract is up with Vegas after this season
  2. Both Dahlin and Jokiharju had good rookie seasons and regressed significantly under Krueger over two seasons. I want to see what both of them can do under different coaching. Risto has one year left on his deal, his metrics are back to where they have been in previous seasons. He’s a good candidate to shake up the core and it’s extremely unlikely that he re-signs in Buffalo. The issue is he falls into the most favored Sabre Zone with the owner, so he gets protected for the wrong reasons. As far as him being a 2022 Trade Deadline Piece, if the Sabres are sellers at the deadline next year, the organization is well and truly *****.
  3. I’d expose both Miller and Risto. Risto has been a good trooper through all this, but based on his comments the losing has gotten to him and with one year left he deserves the chance to get out of this mess If either one of them is selected that’s 3.875 or 5.4 Million in cap space. Forwards Eichel, Reinhart, Skinner, Mitts, Oloffson, Lazar and Tage Defense Dahlin, Borgen and Jokiharju A dark horse pick for Seattle to take, especially with Their Analytics Department, would be Lawrence Pilut. (Yes he is eligible for the expansion draft as the Sabres still hold His Rights)
  4. It’s probably to fulfill the requirement of having a goalie on the Taxi Squad with Houser being elevated to the 23 Man Roster. Once Ullmark is good to go, he probably returned to Rochester
  5. The problem with including Adam Fox in any trade proposals for Eichel, is that Fox did everything he had to do to end up a member of the Rangers. He was drafted by Calgary and told them he would not be signing with them and that his plan was to finish His Four Years at Harvard then decide His Future. He was traded to Carolina in the Hamilton Deal, and immediately told Carolina His Plan was to finish His Remaining Two Seasons at Harvard and then would decide on His Professional Future. One year later he was traded to the Rangers and he signed an ELC when His Junior Year was completed at Harvard. How quickly would he end up back in NYC after the deal was complete? Also Boston would gladly give up Four First Round Picks for Eichel, everyone of them would be in the 25-32 Range, so why not?
  6. One of interesting things about Karmanos is he left Carolina when His Dad was still owner to follow Rutherford.
  7. I haven’t heard yet, I think the plan is 2-5 at least more scouts though
  8. He wasn’t well liked by The Carolina Faithful, but that had more to do with the fact they hated Peter Karmanos Jr. and Jason was lumped into it. He does get rave reviews for building the analytics departments in Pittsburgh and laying the foundation for the Carolina one.
  9. Credit to these two for putting this into other threads earlier
  10. I think this is their plan, along with an expansion of the analytics department.
  11. 22. It sounds like the Sabres are making some scouting changes. At the very least a shuffling, and then we see about external additions. Could be news on the assistant-GM front (Jason Karmanos very much a contender) this week. From Elliotte Friedman 31 Thoughts Today
