I DVR every game. That penalty call on Gaustad where they scored the game winner was bull crap. He didn't even touch the Canuck player. He tried to make a move around Gaustand and fell by himself. The fans in that section weren't even visibly upset or looking for a penalty. Oh well, like PTR said, you can't win them although we could have easily won this game if the PP was better early on. Calgary will be tough on Saturday.

Because the people that run Network TV in America are by far the biggest morons in life. If the NHL wanted to get excitement out over TV, they would show a game like Toronto at Buffalo or Vancouver at Colorado on NBC, and not St. Louis vs. Pittsburgh or Atlanta vs. Phoenix.

I love West Coast games! You can do all you need to do and then sit down in bed and watch the Sabres until 1am. Should be a great game. I wonder if Biron will play with all these rumours flying around.

Speaking of Roy. Does the guy sleep with wives from opposing teams? Either that or he talks more trash than anyone. Something has to explain why everyone on every team goes out of their way to take runs and cheap shots at this little guy.

Man, our power play will fall to 10th after tonight's game. It's hard to watch. Hopefully Lindy & Co. can set them up well to start the third. If they don't score, Edmonton is gonna take momentum away sooner or later.

Did Smith not get tossed? He should have gotten an instigator. The third man in rule is bull #%^$#!. You're just supposed to let some punk jump your guy while he's not looking? Makes no sense. This PP looks bad. Get Kotalik off it for a game or two and let him recharge.

Roy just missed an OPEN net when he tried to slam it into a gapping net.

Chalk up another tally in the loss column. This team always loses when they don't convert on a 5-on-3 when tied or losing.

Kotalik has sucked for a few weeks now. He lost his confidence.

God I love West Coast games! This should be a great game. Oilers are very Sabre-like. I think we have a better offense but Edmonton has the defense. Hopefully we can start off the road trip with a win and go from there.

A hot LA Kings team comes into town. Buffalo needs this game bad! To make matters worse, Vanek has some foot problems and might miss this game, although I'd argue he wasn't even at the last game. Chris Thorburn has been called up again. Lets Go AmerkSabres!

Just got back from the game and have a few thoughts... 1. Get this team out of Buffalo. This Sabres team like many in the past can't do well at home against crap teams. Buffalo should have easily won tonight and didn't. 2. It is becoming more and more apparant that the well is drying up in Rochester. Poms was the last solid player. Novotny and Paille are just not ready. 3. It is even more clear that this team is missing Briere. He always had that timely goal. We need him back tonight. I also saw JP tonight and he looked like a guy that's ready to come back soon. 4. I'm backing away from my stance on not going after a scorer. Remember the playoff series against Montreal in the early 90s after the sweep of Boston. Patty and Alex went down and the team lost four straight 4-3 games to eventual cup champs Montreal. What happens if we run into injury problems during the playoffs. I think we need to get one more gun. 5. I said it about 8 games ago. Kotalik is falling apart, I wonder how much of it is because of him getting the olympic snubbed.

Tonight is a no TV game, not even on NHL Centre Ice. I just scored myself some tickets at work today which was a HUGE surprise on this beautiful spring -- I mean winter -- day in Buffalo. Coyotes got steamrolled in Ottawa two nights ago. They'll be bitter. Sabres need to win tonight and Saturday to go over 500 on the homestand. It's gonna be though especially with all the injuries.

Drury has a mild groin strain. Lindy said he hopes the strain is short term at worst. Briere had successful surgery to repair two small tears in his abdomen. He is reportedly doing well.
