  1. Well, yet again, the Sabres return from a road win and come out for a home game like they think all they need to do is show up and someone will award them a win. Outshot 13-4 in the first period. Give me a break already.

    a few other points:

    - This team isn't good enough to win if Miller and Myers both have off nights.

    - Montador giftwrapped another goal for the opponent. Myers did the same, plus took a penalty that led to a PPG for Ottawa.

    - Derek Roy: 21 minutes, 0 points, 1 shot on goal.

    - Vanek looks like he's going to deliver about 19 goals this year in exchange for that $7MM.

    - Awful PP again.

    - The entire offense was 2 very saveable slappers from TC. That's it.

    - Does the CBA permit bag skates on the day of the 2nd game of a back-to-back?

On a night when their goaltender is vomiting up huge rebounds we get but two soft goals. This team is in disaster mode

  2. Lindy actually said this after the game when asked by Paul Hamilton about the "confusion" in his own zone in the first period:

"I don't know. I was more concerned with why we weren't getting in the other end."

    Oh lord.

I honestly feel bad for the guy. He's hung around too long. His ending won't be pretty. Could have gone out proverbially on top.

I just wonder whose honeymoon is going to end first, his or Tyler Myers'.

Hey, at least he is a great prankster! How many people would be creative enough to take someone's book when they were not looking? Lindy is the king prankster!

  3. That's a load of crap and I suspect you know it.

It's an accepted fact in media circles that this is a quiet building, and those are folks actually in the funeral home while games are being played. It has nothing whatsoever to do with microphones.

Anyway, I have no problem hearing noise in the building on TV -- l sure as heck heard it when Rick Jeanneret got a nice ovation.

I don't know about the crowd noise in the stadium, but I do know that Hockey Night in Canada does up the crowd noise on their broadcasts. I noticed that fifteen or so years ago and have always wanted our broadcast to do the same. I like hearing the roar of the crowd
