If they did I wouldn't criticize the move. If we had him in Rochester last year ready for a call up last season might have been just that little better enough to squeak into playoffs.
I take it we do not have a young goaltender in the system ready to play in NHL? If we did I’d be happy to start with Hutton as number two and if he blows up again (likely, IMO) we could throw youngster in.
Maybe we get a journeyman goalie, start him in Rochester and move him up as needed?
Is cap space a big issue here?
Good point, but it could also be luck. Drafting is a crap shoot
That team will be shedding talent soon, I would guess. Look how deep they are on defense. Can't believe they can keep all those players, stars and such, and still stay under the cap.
The thought of Risto getting moved makes me nauseous
But whatever is best for the team. They really have to have a good season, make the playoffs and hopefully win a series or two.
I enjoyed watching the hand shake after and everyone getting along. Happy Victor Headman won MVP. Thought for a second they might pick Vasaleski(sic)
I really enjoyed this yeas playoffs, from Tampa's super long game against Columbus to them knocking out the Bruins.
Jacks sitting there watching these other teams playing and I bet that is frustrating. If we don’t make the playoffs next season I bet this gets turned up into a real thing.
Turns out it’s not that easy recovering from a tank, and if we don’t figure it out this year the whole reason we tanked, to get Jack, might be gone with the wind.
Hard to disagree, except I want our young defenseman playing, not making room for an older guy, unless maybe it’s around playoff time. Isn’t Steve Smith an assistant coach on this team?
And no way do I want to lose Risto or Montour
Brain surgery? Can you imagine a doctor telling you he is going to operate on you but he isn’t very knowledgeable in medicine, but he works really hard, so it’s ok.
And he stayed at a Holiday Inn last night
