Wonder if Biro and Rousek are sitting just cause they want more vets in the lineup tonight?

So UPL has moved right past shoot outs / breakaways and is now going to stand up 2 on 0s?

Rather than open a new thread I thought I'd hijack this one...
I am hoping to go the the Nov. 14th game against the Bruins, most likely by myself. Am I correct in assuming I'll likely do better pricing wise if I wait until it's close to game day to get my ticket?

Apparently he just needed to play?
I'd feel a lot better about this statement if not for the last 5 minutes last night (admittedly I did not get to see the game and am only going by box score)

Get Okposo off this team
he seems like a guy that probably shouldn't be playing every night any more.

Yes but his offensive game is still very good when healthy. The guy is a world class hockey player who is a free agent and has been connected to Buffalo by every insider. He instantly makes the PP much better. That is why there is interest in talking about him.
When healthy -
A 35 year old coming off a major hip surgery is a big question mark.
I think the only reason he is connected to Buffalo is because his agent has to convince other teams that a team with cap room is in on the bidding. -

WHY IS CLIFTON OUT THERE

Meatballs should have called a TO and then challenge that TB goal. It was clearly icing (looking at the replay).
My understanding is you can only challenge for offside and goalie interference, icing isn't something that can be challenged.

They need to make a rule where 19yr old players can go to the AHL. Each NHL team may assign 1 per season.
As long as they have 3 years of CHL service.
Yeah, it's just so weird to me that the age limit doesn't match the age qualifications for drafting - like if you're drafted and played one more season in juniors, you should be good to go to the AHL (or whereever)- 1

I'm not so interested in the score as I am how the players look. Positioning, 200 ft game, any chemistry from new faces, which of the young'ns are hungry and so on.
Right, and if we didn't look a little sluggish / sloppy I'd expect us to have at least 5-6 goals by now

I'm kind of mad we're not winning 10-0 right now

Really? Looks back the the drafting record of the Botterill led Sabres. Dylan Cozens, check. Umm, ...
50% of the league is Canadian. 3 of our 8 picks this year are Canadian, doesn't feel like a high percentage...
Sabres return Matt Savoie to WHL Wenatchee Wild

Even one exemption per team is too much, but one exemption per team every 3 (or 5) years might make sense.
