Does anyone think the sabres will trade for a player Friday night at the draft? There are a lot of rumors the sabres are in on that makes me think we are only using one 1st and 1 of the 2nds to actually draft a player, and the other 2 picks will be used as trade bait

Per Bob Mckenzie- Bobby Ryan is being shopped by the Ducks. Rumor has it that last year a miller for Bobby and Hiller trade was in place until miller got hurt. I think it would take miller and a 1st rd for Hiller and bobby. Maybe even 2 1sts

If Staal is available he will definitely be on the sabres radar. I think it takes a 1st and Sekera. I would love to see Staal and Parise brought in. Vanek-Staal- Parise.. Foligno-Ennis-Staff... Leino-Hodgson-pommer.. 4th line would be ??? We need a hard nosed 4th line. Maybe Kaleta-McCormick-Tropp. That leaves out gerbe. So idk

I would definitely keep an eye on all the teams with first round exits, they might want to switch some stuff up in the off season.

Leino isn't going anywhere. They are going to give him another year to see if he can change. A number 1 center is going to be this team next season for sure. For once I am not worried about Darcy, he will get it done this June/July

We want a number 1 center. Ennis and Hodgson cover the 2nd & 3rd lines. Keep McCormick for 4th line, but add a winger with the ability to kill penaltys and who has size(Prust).. We know leino can't play center, but idk if he can do RW.. We know Darcy is going after a #1 center, he basically said it. Who are options that might fit that role for buffalo, by using draft picks or players?? I'm thinking Getzlaf.

Your probably right, I just figured if goose can bring in a 1st, no reason these guys can't bring in at least 2nd rounders. Miller for sure though can get 2 first round picks

I would get picks for miller, leo, sekera and gerbe. Trade Roy and 2 firsts to Anaheim for Getzlaf. Stafford and a first to LA for Brown. Miller can bring in 2 first rounders if not more, Leo a 1st or 2nd, Gerbe a 2nd probably and Sekera a 2nd

We need size bad.. If you look last year the bruins had the most fights and won the cup. This year the rangers have the most fights and are the best team in the east. Size is the answer. Adding a guy like doan or Nash would be huge. They are both big bodies. Foligno and Tropp definitely help out on the physical side as well. With Hecht, boyes, Leo, Roy and another forward out? And the cap going up(if it does) and all of our draft picks, we should be a contender easily next year.... Vanek-Coho-Nash = A dream

I loved this article, everyone should read it. I pray buffalo signs Hodgson to a 5-6 year deal. He definitely has what it takes to be our number 2, if not number 1.
