Welp, game over 🤣
-
JFC, thank God I just sold the last of the 4 tickets tonight. Who is in goal tonight?
-
I sold 3 out of my 4 tickets and have no IDEA why I am possibly contemplating going to this disaster on ice by myself. I can't even believe this thought is in my head right now.

Can someone let me know why Owen Power was listed as the #1 prospect in his draft? I see nothing, I mean nothing special about this guy.

Panthers are not the KingsÂ
Exactly, which is why I need to actually see these clowns put in even more effort tonight. Florida coming off a game last night, effort needs to be pedal to the metal from start to finish.

Wouldn’t it be great if they could follow up with a very similar performance as last game? Then they could do it again and again and again. If they come out flat again in the first period tonight, it should tell you everything we already know about this organization and players.

I would be in board with Berube, McLellan and Brind'Amour as well as Gallant.Â
Unfortunatley Pegula owns this team and KA is the current captain, so we have tweedle dee and tweedle dum helping shape us.Â
Buckle up, the journey has just started and we're missing a few tires.Â
Brindy would be my top choice but we know that is not happening.

Anything but a 10 game win streak with this effort each game and this type of win is meaningless to me. Maybe they can actually win 3 in a row for the first time all year.Â

I can’t figure out if this game makes me hate them more or actually have hope 3 years from now

I just talked to my buddy at the Blues organization and he was saying the Sabres would be crazy not to jump on a the Berube train. He would be the perfect fit for 3 years to whip these idiots into shape and create a work ethic. After 3 years, Buffalo can then grab the coach they want for the Stanley Cup run. Apparently fans were pretty upset when Berube was let go but they just needed a new voice within the lockerroom. And here we have the worst coach in the NHL talking time and time again about how to handle pressure situations.....ugly stuff.

Please let this be the game where everything falls apart, and there is no point of return. There has to be a breaking point soon…

You could have told me Dahlin and Thompson were done for the season as well and I would have had the same reaction....nothing. There is no pulse anymore.

I think Buffalo has a good chance to pick in the top 3. I pray they trade that pick for a proven NHL player that can actually help this team next year.Â
-
that's it? Hey Boston, you can have a bunch more if you want. All we ask is that the return includes draft picks that our coaching staff will ruin over the next 4 years.Â
-
It is now reaching a point of confusion and bizarreness that this coach and gm are still here. The whole thing is just weird…

I'm coming around to this: The whole team. The players, the coaches, the GM, everything. Blow it all up. Just awful.
There has to be a button somewhere...

I predict that if St. Louis scores the next goal, they win, and if Buffalo scores The next goal, we lose.

It’s hard to believe that Buffalo did not score 1st. That’s OK, they usually win these games from coming from behind anyway.
-
I don't dislike this team because it's really not their fault. There is not a whole lot of talent on the roster so what are people supposed to be upset about. This disaster lies squarely on the GM and Owner more than the players and the coach.Â

So the NHL takes a week off for the All-Star game then the Sabres have a 5 day break after one game played?  Ok…..
They will be 15 points out of 8th next time they play. Granato is actually proving to be a worse coach than Krueger. You really can’t make this stuff up.

Because it does bother me. Looking back I wrote that a little awkwardly- as I said a little further on, I’m genuinely worried it’s becoming upsetting to those who’d rather use the Sabres purely as an escape. What I meant is I’m not offended by it: unfortunately it’s always the same several posters.
it’s a difficult line: I want to expand on what I personally believe to be the truth but also sometimes struggle determining the value in it relative to the context of where the discussion is taking place.
The sabres stopped being a place I earmarked for joy a long time ago: I don’t need that from them. Don’t count on them to fulfill that anymore. Don’t need to use them as an escape from anything. I like to engage here purely for the engagement and camaraderie. If my engagement infringes on that camaraderie: that’s a real issue to meÂ

Another loss at home, 10 points out of 8th in February, and just an abomination in drafting in the top 5. This team gives fans zero hope over the next decade.Â
