If KA can make a deal that pushes Greenway to the 4th line, that’s a step in the right direction. I like Greenway and am glad he is here. I do think if we made a 4th line staring Greenway, a decent center and another smart effort player, we could have a very effective and disruptive “4th” line.
When I look at the returning forwards I see 4 top 6 players (Quinn, TNT, Tuch and JJP), 3 players who could be in the top 6 but shouldn’t be yet (or anymore) in Skinner, Benson and Cozens and a 3/4 liner in Greenway.
In Adam’s world the forwards probably look something like this
JJP TNT Tuch
Benson Cozens Quinn
Skinner ???? Greenway
????? Krebs ?????
What he should be looking at
JJP TNT Tuch
Benson ???? Quinn
Skinner Cozens ????
???? ???? Greenway
We need a top6/9 center, a top 9 RW, a 4th LW and Center.
JJP TNT Tuch
Benson ???? Quinn
Skinner Cozens ????
???? ???? Greenway
Yup, they absolutely have to get a 2nd line center in a trade, along with filling those three other ??? you have. Anything short of those changes and this team will not finish with more than 90ish points. The forwards are nowhere near good enough as is.

I would say by getting better players, but what do I know.

I am starting to think that the Sabrs actually need to blow the entire team up for better talent after seeing the rosters on these playoff teams. The problem is…how are they going to get better talent when they have wasted so many high draft picks on mediocre Players?
The only solution is to trade their top level prospects for proven players and hope that somebody bites.

Utah Yeti seems like a no-brainer. The logo has the potential to be pretty sick too.
-
Guentzel is the perfect player all around. Unfortunately, we do not have anybody like him. We need about three of those guys minimum.

Bruins will be around forever, just accept it. I want a Boston New York series very badly.

Not over yet and I don’t want to jinx it, and I was wrong about Hellebuyck apparently (yeesh) but:
It’s really their D AND offence that has let them down. They seem ill-equipped for playoff puck
This is what is very strange to me. The Jets bitch slapped us up and down the ice The last time we played them. After that game, I wanted nothing more than to have a roster like theirs. Not quite sure what is going on over there in Winnipeg.

After seeing that whole production in Utah yesterday, I am already jealous of their fans 😞

This Boston Toronto series is exactly why we really needed to get into the playoffs. The team, as it is currently constructed would be absolutely ragdolled from start to finish. It would actually be embarrassing. The good part about that is that this idiot GM would finally realize how to build a team.

This whole thing is a joke. I bet he did not even interview Lindy...

Lindy is what? 64? He's not going to want to coach forever (I assume.) What if you brought back Lindy Ruff while promoting Seth Appert to an associate HC role and presumed heir to the job after Ruff retires?
I don't HATE that idea but I just don't know if I want Ruff back her at at all, even though I loved his time here.

Quotes like this are up there with the most embarrassing experiences of the drought imo. Just a complete joke of a season from day zero.
Yup, and and as a season ticket holder (ex now), it pisses me off even more. This team is currently rotten, I mean rotten to the core. I hope the next coach makes their lives MISERABLE from day one, they all deserve it.

I am torn between Gallant and Berube as far as realistic targets. Zero chance Brindy looks in this direction.

Not to mention, Dahlin is probably the last person on this team that I would accuse of not putting in full effort.

I talked to my St Louis contact and he said that people were actually pissed when he was fired but they felt like they needed a new voice. They did go on a 14-6 run right after he was fired. He was liked by players even though he was tough on them. I like the sound of that...

There is that accountable piece...in case this was not posted yet.

Alex Tuch super enthused when I brought up Lindy and Gerard Gallant (“Turky”) as Granato replacements. Joked he’s seen more #Sabres games coached by Ruff than he’s played in. Loved how Gallant held him accountable during his #VGK career.

I can't think of a more useless player on this team. Some people have to be traded and if Adams is hesitant in trading him, this team is in HUGE trouble.
-
Adams job 100% relies on his pick. He is going to get someone good, I’m confident.

I am worried that Berubes success that year was solely due to Binnington having an abnormally superhuman year.

Why wouldn't Terry just double the offer of Carolina and see what happens. If he really wants to win, that is the only way it would have a chance.

It 1000% is going to be Lindy or this Appert. I don't think any of these names that we want will even consider an interview here.

How does Ellis still keep his job? His job performance was the worst on the staff.
Hamilton was saying that Ellis was not responsible for the PP and it was the head coach who dictates the style of the pp. Ellis was also Adams guy so he may just stick around.

Off-season Game Plan 2024

I agree, and that is why the only chance of seeing this team make the playoffs next year is in my dreamland. Their forward lineup in this years playoffs would have been the worst out of all the teams.
