Unfortunately for the sabres the leafs almost always outwork them and if not for Miller playing so brilliantly last season against the leafs we would have lost most of those contests. This year they have the general who will be trying to prove something for sure. I don't see a win here either.

This organization is sleeping in the bed they made at this point. Regier and Ruff and for that matter,Quinn, should all be canned and bring in a new management team and coaching staff. Spend the rest of the season (or a portion of it) evaluating then blow it up at the trade deadline(when teams grossly overpay). Get young prospects with promise and heart ( don't want to wait for draft picks to develop) and start over with a clear vision of what this team is going to be. What style of a team is this anyways? Does anyone know? Does this team have a mission statement ? Does this team have a hockey tradition or winning history? I don't think so. I've been following this team since 75 and I can honestly say other than 'the hardest working team in hockey' I can't remember there ever being a slogan that summed up what these guys are. What I do know is this team is rudderless and floundering and there appears to be no leaders that can pull them out of this funk. They've bottomed out as far as I can tell or are damn close to it.

How many times did tiny tim connoly give the puck away on the p.p. tonight? That was a terrible showing in front of a home crowd by the entire team, coaching staff and front office. These people are a disgrace. :wallbash: Hats off to Cody for at least showing some emotion. Can't say that about the rest of these bums.

Can it get any worse than this in Sabreland? Regier should be $hitcanned immediately following the game and Ruff can go as far as I'm concerned as well. Regier for doing absolutely nothing to improve his roster ( he threw in the towel 3 months before the season started) and Ruff for losing his players. I'm disgusted to be a sabre fan right now and I've never quit on this team . I'm just glad I'm not in Buffalo because they smell to high heaven from where I'm sitting and I can only imagine how the stench is in close proximity.

I watched the first episode tonight and I have to say it was entertaining which is saying something cause I normally don't make time for this type of show.

And when was the last time Regier brought in anyone of substance? Drury, 2003. I think Regier thought that was good enough to define his career and he hasn't done anything since.

Blow this team up

So Ruff doesn't know anything about being a G.M. neither does Regier. Ruffs done anyways,this team has quit on him. But to blame the coach when you have witnessed a deadbeat G.M. who chose not to improve a club that everyone knew needed fixing is asinine. The coach is simply coaching a team that Regier assembled.

This team is pathetic. Where are all the posters who this summer argued that Regier was making the right moves. Show yourselves and be counted. Hopefully someone will burn an effigy of Regier outside rink .

I think it's more a case of everyone underestimating how beneficial Tallinder was for him last year. Those two had some chemistry.

Thats the kiss of death. Calling an opponent a lesser team. There's not many teams I would put in the catagory of being lesser right now. Thats Regiers problem,he continues to overvalue the players on this team then he tries to prove it year after year.
