  1. Strange but I have zero confidence in these guys right now
  2. Good veteran move Okposo. NOT.
  3. Pilut is the future fo sure but I sure like having a guy who is willing to drop the gloves occasionally to keep the other side honest. He isn't a goon in the truest sense of the word but he is the only guy we have capable of filling that role. I may be in the minority but I still believe you need some sort of a deterent. Either that or a great Power play which we just don't have.
  4. Funny thing is the players put that loss behind them long before Sabrespace does.
  5. I agree on Rodrigues. The guy is a college star. I don't think that will translate at this point. How long do you give him? Also I just don't see the positives Okposo brings that others seem to see. Casey has the skill and needs time. We had a shite ton oof passengers today. There's just no excuse for that. Okposo says they all hold each other accountable in the room. Thats easy to say when you're winning. I call bullspit right now. These guys played like they quit after the first. They certainly couldn't match Phillies speed or intensity.
  6. There's a lot of desperate teams right now looking to make a move. We'll be there with them if the coaching staff doesn't figure out how to turn this around.
  7. Any line juggling now is for show. Its too late Phil. You might as well put lipstick on a pig.
  8. Thats it I'm out. Light a fire Phil. Where's that leadership ? Hold each other accountable much ?
  9. Bah. Flyers are just the better team. We're chasing all over the ice.
  10. Yeah this losing streak is quickly erasing any memories of the winning streak that preceded it.
  11. Despite what Ray would likely say this has been a bad period. Flyers owned it.
  12. Watching the young D men make rookie mistakes and recover or not is nerve racking but softened by the knowledge that some of these guys will be driving offence from the back end for hopefully the next decade in the case of Dahlin. Pilut has really impressed me in the few games he's played to date. Watching them both develop and learn the N.H.L. game will be a hoot.
  13. I'm not in Buffalo so its not for me to say but I will. For those of us that only get to view the Sabres on the little screen and not in person I'd hate to see something like a football stadium that breaks down into a hockey rink. Clearly that building would be built for football and hockey would be the ugly stepsister or an afterthought. The intimacy of a rink would be lost in the expanse of a football stadium regardless of how hard they tried to please the hockey fan . A giant curtain brings thoughts of the wizard of Oz pulling one over on the little people with his bells and whistles. Give me a stand alone stadium any day of the week over playing second fiddle inside the belly of the beast that is the N.F.L. How do you pull the fans in on all sides right up to the rink inside an N.F.L. stadium ? How would you sit looking down onto the ice like you did in the old rinks like the forum or maple leaf gardens or the Aud ? I don't know but to me that intimacy is what creates the hockey experience whether you're there or at home watching on T.V.
