  1. Did SDS jump off a cliff? Last night was depressing but to set the forums back a year.... am i misreading anything? Or am i just dumb? Did i miss a memo? I stayed away all day from the comp all day because i couldn't post, i made few posts on a different forum about the off-season and thats it. And WTF is this all about?

    WHAT THE FVCK !?!?!?!?!?!

I'm BACK to briere48! JESUS CHRIST THIS IS A NIGHTMARE.

I gotta get off the computer. I'm seeing things. WTF!

  2. The Stadium Wall has a new banner, i was wondering if their were any plans of pimping up our banner? It's kinda weak to be honest, and whats that girl doing up there anyways? Whats the future outlook, will we ever have a current player or a legend up there? Thanks.

  3. Islanders have been playing well as of late, look for Satan to have a solid game and Nolan will get his guys up and ready for this game. That said, Sabres won't disappoint on a Holiday and for a crazy crowd at HSBC Arena....

4-2 Sabres. Vanek, Briere, Kotalik and Spacek with goals.

Satan does score one though for the Isles.

  4. Speaking of the Bills. I'll be more pissed than I have all season if they lose to the fish.

My winter break starts Saturday, so I'll be in NY. Hopefully the game sells out so I can watch it.

Off topic- I heard Jason Peters is hurt? If he doesn't play, we don't win. If the best OLineman plays, we will win!

Back on topic, easy win. Sabres have been almost no effort vs. Florida all season, home or away, no doubt Lindy is gonna get the players to be ready, esspicially it's the last game before we play Ottawa again, on Hockey Night in Canada, Ottawa has had our number all year, i think thats a big game, Lindy won't let them plays half-assed tomorrow.

    4-1 Buffalo.

    Vanek 2, Pominville and Kotalik.

  5. That said, I'd rather see Paille have a go at Kotalik's spot for a game or two. Not sure if he can play RW, but I doubt he can do much worse than Al right now.

Yeah, and that makes sense. Let's bench the guy making $2 million who has 6 goals and a nasty shot, and who scored 25 goals last season, so we can play a guy who still needs development Paille with Drury so that a dude can go out and play like 3 minutes a game and have no impact and MAYBE get into a fight once in a while. Brilliant idea. IDK why Lindy Ruff hasn't thought of that yet???

NJ doesn't have the distractions that South Florida does... Also, if you look at the 2nd loss in NJ last year, the Sabres were playing their second game in 2 nights, Briere was suspended and Marty started. Marty did not give his best performance of the year giving up a questionable goal about a minute into the game. Not a good start to a team that is happy to sit on a one goal lead.

You're right the Sabres lose to teams that they shouldn't sometimes. However, once again it's an 82 game season. Looking at the standings, if the season ended today, of the 16 "playoff" teams:

    1. Buffalo: Lost to Florida and Washington.

    2. Atlanta: Lost to Tampa in a shootout, Lost to Philly in OT, Lost to Tampa, and got shelled by Tampa.

    3. NJ: Lost to Pittsburgh, Lost to Phoenix, Lost to LA.

    4. Montreal: Lost to Chicago, Lost to Florida, Lost to Philly.

    5. Carolina: Lost to Washington, Lost to Florida, Lost to Tampa.

    6. Rangers: Lost to Pittsburgh, Lost to Florida, Lost to LA, Lost to Washington, Lost to Pittsburgh.

    7. Islanders: Lost to Phoenix, Lost to LA, Lost to Pittsburgh, Lost to Tampa, Lost to Tampa in OT, Lost to Pittsburgh, Lost to Philly.

    8. Ottawa: Lost to Colorado, Lost to Washington in OT, Lost to Tampa, Lost to Washington.

    1. Anaheim: Lost to the Islanders in OT, Lost to Philly, Lost to Chicago in OT, Lost to Colorado in OT, Lost to LA.

    2. Nashville: Lost to Chicago, Lost to Chicago, Lost to Vancouver in OT, Lost to Chicago in OT, Lost to Phoenix.

    3. Edmonton: Lost to Vancouver, Lost to Phoenix, Lost to St. Louis, Lost to Colorado, Lost to Columbus.

    4. San Jose: Lost to LA, Lost to Colorado.

    5. Dallas: Lost to Vancouver, Lost to Chicago, Lost to Washington.

    6. Detroit: Lost to Vancouver, Lost to Vancouver in OT, Lost to St. Louis in OT.

    7. Minnesota: Lost to Colorado, Lost to Phoenix, Lost to Colorado in OT, Lost to Columbus.

    8. Calgary: Lost to Washington, Lost to Columbus in OT, Lost to LA.

Those are just some examples of beatable teams that these teams lost to. So either there are no cup caliber teams this year...or every team gets beat by a lessor team sometimes.

    Great research man. Thanks.

  6. Never can tell, that's true. I was just pointing out that Peters wasn't the sole problem last night, he had 17 of his teammates helping him.

Peters just needs to go. I can't believe this is even an issue and i can't believe we are slowing down the development of a rising young player because theres a theory that Peters "won" us the game vs. Tampa.

Paille on the 4th line adds speed and passing ability, gives the line someone else who can carry the puck with no problems.

Hopefully Sabres realize Peters is a failure in pro hockey soon.

  7. Big deal. I'm gonna do what I always do when the team I cheer for craps the bed.

Move on to the next sport. Luckily, I'm a San Antonio Spurs fan. I have been ever since I heard of basketball. 3 championships. Tim Duncan. Manu. Tony Parker. Love the Sabres......but, I really love the Spurs.

How on Earth do you lose to Florida? It's like I said last week, every lowly team plays the Sabres like it's their Stanley Cup. The Sabres have a bullseye on their chest now. There will be no easy games from here on in. Every single game they are not ready to give 150% for, they will lose.

    But, it's ok.

The Spurs won't crap the bed. Let's all cheer for them.

Sounds like we have a diehard fan. How lucky are we?

Dude, first off, noone cares about basketball. Second of all, even if people do, they don't care about the Spurs. And third of all, since the Spurs never crap the bed, then i guess you must have forgotten about that loss to Charlotte, at home... oh.. my bad, that was in mid-november, you must have been all over the Sabres bandwagon at the time to realize the Spurs were even playing.

Please kid.... get off our bandwagon and stick to basketball.

  8. Good to see Tampa honoring our "Chucker" tonight. They do a Top 10 moments of his career. Playing for the Sabres & getting that first NHL goal is #3 on the list.

Check it out on the Lightning's Site

    LETS GO BUFFALO!!

I read an article before the season, and it was obvious they would retire his number this season at some point so they let him decide what game, without hesitation, he said vs. Buffalo! Just thought people should know it was up to him.

  9. Hope you didn't mind my hijack. Corp has been offline, and I've been taking him for granted... :D

I don't mind at all... actually, im honored to have my first ever Sabrespace.com official game day discussion thread!! lol not many people can say that since corp always beats everyone to it! lol

    Anyways, predictions?

5-1 Sabres. We don't mess around tonight.

Vanek 2 goals, Briere 2 goals and Pominville with a goal.

  10. i dont know, thats what i hear. Im gonna take a quick nap tho, im not hungover but tired from driving over night. haha

ps. just talked to the crew on jd's bus, and sopposetly their very well on their way to getting hammered!!! hahaha

see ya all at fados and at the game. 115, row like 6. I'll have a white briere goat jersey and blue slug winter hat.

  11. Went to the game tonight. I thought both goalies looked really sharp. Still trying to figure out why Lundqvist wasn't at least 3rd star. My seats were behind the net where Drury scored the game winning goal. Nice!

I thought i heard a Lets Go Buffalo chant on msg... is that correct? Was there many Sabres fans there?

  12. we're getting points even if our ENTIRE team is out... how awesome is this organization?

    Darcy Regier is a genius.

And Lindy Ruff is the best coach in the league.

I wonder if either US Hockey or Canadian hockey will ask Ruff to coach in the 2010 Olympic Games?
