Bruins need to go high on Binnington; he's always on his knees or down.
-
Marchand went brain dead, going off the ice and leaving his man cruise in.

Binnington would not be my pick for a game 7 goalie. Kinda reminds me of frozen custard.

I hope Krueger emphasizes the forecheck. DeBrusk showed what it's all about leading to the second goal. I was commenting on that to my son when Carlo scored.

Rask continues to earn it.

Rask is earning it.

I don't particularly care who wins the Cup at this point. But it's interesting that in the pregame, the NBC announcers appear to be all in on the Blues. What about the major story about the big chip the Bruins have on their shoulder? I expect they'll be all over Binnington early. BTW, the ref that blew the call last game is likely in deep dirt with the league.

For this team, it's actually a baby step.

Krueger says his defensive philosophy includes creating pressure on the puck. Hopefully that mean for the first time in eons we'll feature a serious forecheck.

Parron should change his given name to "Dumb Penalty."

If you are suggesting this organization's woes are limited to Housley as the HC, I think you'll be unpleasantly surprised in the near future.
Housley was a part of the problem, sure. But far from an isolated source of the problem.
No ones saying there's not more to the picture. But in the NHL it helps a bit if you have a coach who can coach, who has a clue.

Nice trade Jason!

Blues power play is godawful: overly deliberate, no puck movement, predictable shots. They performed all the above negatives on that second period power play and as soon as it ended kept constant offensive pressure on the Bruins for about 4 minutes. What a telling contrast. But a great game thus far.
Much better effort in early third period pp. Looks like someone talked to them about it between periods.

The clueless Housley was like a poison. He made me cringe watching him attempting to figure out what was going on.

The Blues season has been crazy. They made it this far with good goaltending and hard work. Tonight their goalie did not play well at all The Blues started fast and strong, then took a tick tack penalty and took a penalty on a challenge and both times it ended up on their net
Game 2 the Blues looked faster and better and the Bruins looked plodding. Whatever they did in game 2 they need to repeat in game 4. Otherwise there will be another parade in Boston.
In game 2, the Bruins played their game for 2 periods. Then late in the third period and in overtime they clearly had lost their legs.

Can't fathom how the Blues made it this far. Bruins making them look rather pathetic in this game, and their goaltending hasn't helped in that regard. The entire series, thus far, exemplifies Bruins general dominance. They're much faster, shoot better, have better goaltending, and are better on the power play. Blues are bigger but are more plodding. Also, Blues continue to take dumb penalties (Perron), which have really cost them. It would also help the Blues if their first line would do some scoring. However, Blues do make good trades.

Bruins are like a fast moving car that uses up its gas faster than a slower moving vehicle. They certainly had no legs late in the game and in OT.

Late on my prediction, I know. Bruins in 5 or less. I'd like to think the Blues could maybe win a single game, but I don't know. History isn't on their side.
Coaching may not be on their side either.

ROR loses the key faceoff for his team. Didn't actually do much all night.

"Spectators to Blues, the series didn't end after the first period of the initial game."

One penalty all game thus far. First game with some discipline, especially by Blues.
