  1. i'll even settle for a couple, for the twins
  2. easy bro, i wasn't talking about you! when i said "mailed it in like Connolly" i meant the player, not the fantasy team! sorry about that. i'm playing A Team Named Goo.. who doesn't look like he's touched his lineup since Day One. i'm not complaining too loud though, shame on me for not beating him black and blue despite that, lol!
  3. hey.. how many guys in the league have mailed it in already like Connolly? the guy i'm playing this week hasn't even set his roster since opening night!
  4. He would have driven Ruff to start drinking behind the bench if he had to coach him!
  5. it's started with stunned gasps, leading to disgruntled mumbles, quickly growing to belligerent whistling, and peaked with a crescendo of boos. truly inspiring stuff
  6. Ethron totally mind######ed Kovy on that play.. LOL, it was a pleasure hearing him serenaded off the ice by the Joisey crowd
  7. Butler and his lead feet show up again
  8. pretty easy to see why these are two basement teams in the East.. *yawn*, now where's that pipe again..
  9. yeah he especially loved playing us last time we were in NJ
  10. there's your answer, 3.0 for 60 min, 2.769 for 65 min.
  11. 3 out of 19 actually. Though no one would think you believe what you are saying, seeing the way you operate on the waiver wire. You are the antithesis of Darcy.
  12. didn't we already have enough issues with the PK when the team decided to be scrappy in the big D?
  13. There will be no comeback, we're playing at home. It won't even be a fun game because the B's are playing a very dull, shutdown version of hockey that relies on opponents making mistakes. We make quite a few of those mistakes. Then we go behind and make even more.
  14. wow, that's interesting. sounds good on paper, not sure how long Ruff will keep them that way. i'm really not sure which lines we're expecting the goals from, but there seems to be some grit on every line, which we'll need against the Booins. Kaleta with Vanek sounds interesting, the corners should be pretty lively if Patty can pop a couple of d-men and Vanek shoots on sight. i've been pretty happy with McCormick's play, was hoping to see him on a line with Roy maybe, or even Timmy. Boychuk's out for some time, i'm sure Vanek won't miss him. Ellis probably still dreams about him up in Portland. Could we trade in Sekera for him? Hopefully Weber turns into that kind of d-man too (Boychuk, not Sekera), would be a perfect foil for Myers or Butler. Go Sabres!!
  15. why change anything? of course this team and staff will turn it around. of course.

  16. if they actually create the chances and get the number of shots on goal that they did the last game then we should win. Go Sabres!!
  17. DeLuca.. i'd say McCormick is definitely better than dime-a-dozen, unlike some other forwards we have, what do you think?
  18. evidently the auditioning for places is over, because we're back to status quo this period
  19. that period there really looks like a mini-snapshot of what this season is going to be. some snazzy passing, quick skating, decent finishing, good amount of chances, mixed in with pucks lost between legs, missed rebounds, wobbly stickhandling, defensive frailties and poor zone clearing. we had a dozen shots on goal when the Hawks got their first, and guess what, they scored. we came back to lead it. will the Sabres be able to overcome this rough start to the season by bouncing back in style like this?
  20. finally one of those skate-deflected goals for us!
  21. .. and for all that pressure.. look what happens. myers again.
  22. yes sirree, even better with some of the original contents still in the bottom
