Yup, plenty of time to go down by 4 or perhaps even 5. Ok that was frustration talking. Sorry, but this is not The Sabres of October and November who could come back at will, this is The Sabres of December - The sloppy, overconfident, lazy Sabres of December, I might add.
-
Bye bye, guess 5 minutes of effort was enough for the guys tonight.
-
Maybe if we bash him some more, he'll get a second one? :D
-
The words "Kotalik" and "fourth line" in the same sentence sound nice. Almost as nice as "Kotalik" and "healthy scratch" :D
-
If he's angry about not playing more, he needs to take a long hard look in the mirror. He's done nothing in his last 6-7 starts to warrant more ice time in any way.
-
When was the last time Kotalik added ANYTHING useful to this team?
-
I dunno, I think it might be case of a very good team being a bit disheartened by losing good players, well knowing they never even came close to winning anything WITH said players? Also, I don't think The Sens have been in a real slump (except for the playoffs) for years, maybe this team just haven't had the chance to learn what it takes to snap out of it again? At any rate, they must be kicking themselves for signing Gerber, if there ever was a bust on this team, it's him. Hope he plays tonight :D
-
I don't think The Sens have any illusions that they're going to challenge for the #1 seed, at this point I think they'll settle for a playoff spot.
-
Peters you moron.
-
I'm pretty impressed though, it seems the guys have found a way of scoring without actually shooting the puck, it's absolutely... Uuuhh... Hang on....
-
Well, at least it's better than us being on the PP. Scratch that, 4 on 3 PP Buffalo.... *sigh*
-
What is it about this team that doesn't allow them to show up against The Panthers?
-
Pathetic is what it is.

"It's the Power Play, Sir... It's gone from suck to blow...!!"

If your 5-2 prediction holds, it'll happen like this - Sabres go up 2-0 early, stop playing hockey for two periods, NJ ties it up middle of the the third, Sabres roar back with 3 in the last 10 mins. Unfortunately, I think we're looking at a 3-1 NJ win, as the boys have been maddening incosistent of late, following one bad performance with a good one, and vice versa.
-
Very nice effort by The Sabres, great comeback after a poor showing against Florida. Miller stellar again.
-
Beer seems to have the same effect, though greater amounts are needed for same effect. Several 60 minute onslaughts in fact. Very sweet indeed  I hope Kotalik took notes on that goal by Souray.
-
Looked like Sabres Vs. Cryers last spring, for a minute there.
-
Huge shift there!
-
Overconfidence has crept in with some people. Now is the probably best possbile time of the season for them to learn a few lessons, not time to hit the panic button just yet, even though it's maddening annoying to watch. *beer goggles are on BTW :-)

1-1 Bummer.
-
The man is playing like crap, and you'd rather play him cause he makes two million. Sharp. While we're at it, shouldn't we play Marty some more? I mean, he makes two milion as well. I never mentioned actually playing Peters instead of Kotalik in any of my posts, so why you're bringing him into it, I have no idea.
-
I fully understand this and I agree. I also realise you didn't say Paille was some sort of saviour, I was merely trying to make a point - That last night was a team "effort". That said, I'd rather see Paille have a go at Kotalik's spot for a game or two. Not sure if he can play RW, but I doubt he can do much worse than Al right now.
-
Still doesn't change the fact that the loss last night was probably the biggest team effort I ever saw, and had nothing to do with Peters, other than the fact that he dressed. I'm not a Peters fan, just pointing out that dressing Paille IMHO wouldn't have meant jack, unless he'd beaten the crap out of everyone in the locker room during the first intermission, and threatened to do it again unless everyone got their in gear for the second. I like Paille, but a one-man army he is not. Also, let's examine who he's playing with. Mair is probably the worst finisher in a Buffalo uniform since Vaclav Varada, and Gaustad is no Brett Hull either. Although he's definitely not as bad as Mair. I like them both, but offense is not what they're supposed to bring with this line combination.

Never can tell, that's true. I was just pointing out that Peters wasn't the sole problem last night, he had 17 of his teammates helping him.
