  1. Buffalo should move Miller before the Olympics just to avoid him coming home an American hero with Olympic gold around his neck!! It could happen, maybe possibly. USA has just as good a chance as anybody. It could become a PR nightmare if that happens and he gets moved afterwards it would seem?

The US is 6/1 to win the gold.....Miller is 50/50 at best to be starting the important games....therefore there is a 7% chance Miller will be returning an Olympic hero. #AdvancedStats

I do agree however they should dump him before the Olympics.

The one reason that I think there is still a possibility that Miller gets moved at the deadline, the fear of trading a "returning hero." They trade him before Friday and its big news here, across Canada and in a select few hockey markets. He leads USA to gold and returns a hero only to be traded and its news across America. People that today don't even know what offsides is will know Buffalo traded an American hero under that scenario.

As for other players and other teams, if teams feel they are getting fair return they will be more apt to trade a player before the Olympics and save the money they won't have to pay them over the Olympic break.

My bad, didn't read all the way down before posting. Agree with you though!!
  2. Ryan Miller...The teams interested continue to be interested...but you can most definitely add the Anaheim Ducks to the list...and I am 100% sure of this. There is at least 1 contingency plan that would see the Ducks deal for Miller and move a goalie back in return along with a pick and VERY strong defensive prospect...from hockeybuzz.com...am I just wasting my time reading this site?

  3. They wouldn't be able to get Gibson straight up for Miller. Let alone a first AND a prospect on top of that. And different prospects have different value. A guy like Burakovsky would likely take a one-for-one, but if you take a lower level prospect then maybe you take on another with that. For Washington, they'll want to move one of their goalies, but they might have to do it in a separate trade.

Brodeur has been trash for four years now in the regular season. If the Caps were solidified in a playoff spot then Brodeur would have much more value to them as he'd be a great playoff rental with his experience and success there.

For the sake of the team I really hope the "rumors" come true and that we don't have to wait much longer to find out.
  4. Miller has alot more value than just a straight up one for one at this point. He is "rumored" to be able to fetch a goalie either in the nhl (Holtby) plus a 1st and prospect or player (Tom Wilson) from Washington or a prospect goalie (John Gibson) 1st and a prospect from Anaheim. The thinking is that Anaheim doesn't want to upset the apple cart too much by trading Hiller but would trade Gibson for a chance at Miller and a cup. Washington is said to be in desperation mode a bit with McPhee not being signed beyond this year he would be willing to make a bold trade as mentioned above. That being said I also read that Martin Brodeur may be available as a rental so that may affect Millers value going forward. These rumors probably fit the thread title so take em for what you will but they have been persistent for weeks now so...

  5. And the result of the said play???

Guessing it wasn't a goal lol

defender tipped it well over leinos stick outta reach. Not sayin keep lame-o but he is developing some chemistry with Ott and Hodgson last couple games as well as getting into good spots on both sides of the ice. Again, this is not an endorsement, just a simple observation. Very simple.
  6. So glad Shane Doan is having a hearing for his highly illegal slash that injured Matt Moulson... o wait Shenanigans if full of ###### and won't punish anyone who tries to kill or maim a Sabre, f##k us right?

Glad to hear he has to answer for this!! Not only did he slash Moulson on the wrist he was almost sitting on his head with his skate near his face well after Moulson had crumpled to the ice injured. Someone shoulda made him pay last night, he continued after the game with an idiotic interview.
  7. Pysyk is getting a raw deal from Nolan imo, he's been steady save a few plays here n there through the year. Even the best defensemen get beat once in a while.
