Yeah except they make such a big deal of "showcasing the game for new fans" and then crap like this happens ... if it was just for diehards like us I would agree, but they continually ignore what their current fans want in favor of these mysterious new fans, and this what they see ...

And now they missed the first shot in the hardest shot event so they could show us guys getting out of the Dodge Nitro, the official transportation for the worst-run All-Star Game in professional sports history!

for replays the railcam is fine, but it is not fast enough to follow live action and when they switch away from it you have no idea what is going on for a second ... it's just too close to the action to see the whole game.
what a joke ... the automatic timer thing for fastest skater is broken, they are using a stopwatch... this league just can't get out of its own way.

This is horrible ... the place is a morgue ... I'm sure all their corporate big wigs to whom they gave free tickets are still enjoying dinner down the street ... they should have given away the tickets to kids if they want to build the game.

RJ has still not recovered from the Miller save, he just called Hecht, "Hajt" ...

I'm listening at work ... RJ just lost his mind over that save ... it can't possibly live up to the description ... he'd have to have caught it in his teeth.

BTP, you're right...but it still doesn't excuse him getting hit from behind. IMO, he should have been given a 10-minute misconduct penalty for the punch,
He didn't hit him from behind INTO anything ... if he had gone headfirst into the boards or crossbar maybe but ... geez, how is punching him in the HELMET worse than if he had punched him in the face? It was the right call. In fact, I am stunned he gave him 4 minutes instead of 2 ... I'm more ticked the damn ref stole the puck from Teppo and helped set up their goal, he should get the second assist.

and back to the NHL's "double standards" on why Lecalvier won't be suspended for the cheapshot on Max. Looked very similar to the Bertuzzi incident, spare the injury.
Come on man ... that was NOTHIING like Bertuzzi ... bertuzzi bulldogged a guy and slammed his head into the ice, breaking his neck. Lecavalier took a dumb, undisciplined penalty in response to getting popped in the face, but Max was in no serious danger ...

All the Peters lovers need to watch that "fight" ... he doesn't even fight well, he turns his head like a little baby. You want a goon who plays 3 shifts a game, fine, go get one who knows what he is doing.

The analysts on TSN just said we should trade Max AND Marty........are you kidding me?
They just want them dealt to a canadian team to make them better ... what did they suggest we look for in return? a bag of pucks? Maybe we should deal Briere to Montreal too ...

And have you forgotten that three of the Sabres' four wins in the playoffs against the Sens came in overtime.
Anyone who poo-poos the Senators is whistling past the old graveyard. Speaking of that, did RJ say the Sabres power play was "poo poo"? haha
So overtime wins count less? And it's the same goalie as last year. I agree that was the difference in the series, but he's streaky as hell.
I'm not saying they are not a threat, of course they are. I'm just saying you guys are awful quick to ignore 3 months of hockey and jump all over 20 horrible minutes ... again, where the opponent scored all of one clean goal. The Tallinder injury DOES worry me, I'm not HAPPY ... but man, don't get an ulcer.

But to be fair, there wasn't much chance of us seeing Florida in the playoffs last year. Struggling against a legitimate Eastern Conference contender should scare the hell out of us.
To be fair, they lost 10-4 and 6-1 to Ottawa early last season and beat them in 5 ... Granted, it's not October, but it's not April either ... and Ottawa is closer to missing the playoffs than they are to first place. They played a GREAT first period ... the played a crap 20 minutes, the opponent hit 2 pucks into the net out of the air and bounced another in off of Teppo, and now the season is in jeopardy? Really? I'm pissed too, but not THAT kind of pissed.

Man you guys are REALLY overreacting to this game. It's a wonder you are still alive given that they lost 10-4 to this team last season ... if this is your reaction to a bad period I'm surprised you didn't leap off the Peace Bridge after that game.

THe only problem is that there have already been too many "nights like this" all against Ottawa.
Let's not overreact ... it was the same way against Florida last year. They have lost fewer games than anyone in the league, even after tonight ... to say there have been too many nights like this is setting the bar a bit high.
