Making moves didn't occupy a whole lot of my time. I'm not arguing the point here - I get it. As I said above, I'm all in favor of limits. A keeper league would be great. It would keep me out of the draft, which I handle pathetically.

There was a limit of 8. Agreed (and it is likely no one benefitted more than I did - I was really lucky). Also, at least in theory the way it worked could favor the sort of person who is ready to deal at 3:00 am. (I'm not saying this really mattered. But it could?) Worth pointing out: For a lot of fantasy players, lineup stocking is the "spirit" of it. There are unlimited moves and no waiver periods in many leagues. Set max # of weekly adds to 2? They were! Both GAA and SV% improve when your goalie posts a shutout. But I get the point here. How about faceoffs taken and faceoff %?

Paying attention to players... is - at least in my judgment - more fun than getting Not at all!

He's not sitting on the bench (a bench that I do touch). I picked him up just a little while ago, and I've played him. In fact, I played him last night instead of Hemsky, and got hit a -3 for doing it, while Hemsky scored. I did the opposite on Wednesday, and was similarly "rewarded." Call me an idiot - fine - but it's not fair to even indirectly imply I'm not paying attention.

Yeah - I did too. If I lose points over 7 faceoffs and a powerplay assist - well at least I'll know who to blame. I also missed some trade opps. I'm not sure I would have bitten. (I'm also not sure I completely understand the interest in Mueller, who is on IR. But: When you guys start wanting someone, I start suspecting its in my interests to keep him!) For whatever reason, I felt completely out of synch during the draft. Like everyone (even autodraft!) but me was at least trying to make inspiring, clever choices. But, I'm happy to put them out there and see what happens.

I priced out my team - which is lousy - and came to about a $74 million cap hit. Then I checked out the "Norris Division" and found the others run $60 - $64 million. I still think my team is lousy; Tom W will probably shut me out Week 1. To acknowledge my managerial talents, perhaps I can rename the team the "Rangers?"

The Unbearables will tolerate another season. I'm looking forward to the match up vs. Vanek-Man. Settle some unfinished business? Will the regular season meeting be crucial, again?
