  1. More of the same from San Jose and and Nasville.... According to CSN California's sources, the San Jose Sharks are one of the favorites to sign Shane Doan. Link: http://www.csnbayare...43&feedID=10290 They have plenty of competition, seeing as it seems like half the league has at least some interest in Doan. Still, he's reportedly seeking a four-year/$30 million contract if he leaves Phoenix and there might not be many teams willing to meet those terms. It would be a little surprising if the Sharks are among the franchises that are comfortable with that contract, as it would put them over the current salary cap. That's not even factoring in the possibility of the next CBA lowering the cap. http://www.tennessea.../308030131/2079 Predators GM David Poile doesn't expect Shane Doan to visit Nashville, but Poile is still interested in signing him. "Based on the conversations we’ve had, he is very comfortable with the city and knows a lot about it," Poile said. "He knows some of our guys very well and feels very comfortable about it. His agent knows the city quite well. His agent represents baseball players and some of his clients live here." It seems like Doan wants to sign with the Phoenix Coyotes, but will only do so if he's comfortable with the ownership situation. Doan has waited deep into the summer, but the Coyotes ownership situation still isn't finalized. If he decides to leave Phoenix, Doan will reportedly want a four-year/$30 million deal.
  2. I am all for signing Doan but this has to be the S---L---O---W---E---S---T, most boring free agent signing ever!!!! Thank God for Football. In any event here is the latest.... "Coyotes captain Shane Doan spoke with potential buyer Greg Jamison on Saturday to receive an update on the status of Jamison's bid to purchase the Coyotes. Doan's camp expected the phone conversation to be on Friday, but agent Terry Bross said the conversation happened a day later. Doan is in the fifth week of free agency and has attracted the attention of 16 teams, six of which have already made official offers. But the 35-year-old has waited to sign in an attempt to gain reassurance that a sale is coming so that he can remain with the Coyotes. Jamison and the NHL continue to work toward a purchase agreement with no firm deadline yet in place." http://www.azcentral.com/sports/coyotes/articles/20120730coyotes-free-agent-shane-doan-talks-potential-buyer-greg-jamison.html
  3. News Today......: The prospective new owner of the Phoenix Coyotes reportedly is about $20-million short of the NHL's asking price. "Greg Jamison, a former CEO of the San Jose Sharks, is courting investors to make up the shortfall. Jamison is leading the latest group to bid for the Coyotes, who have been owned by the NHL since it went into bankruptcy in 2009. The NHL wants $170 million for the team. Recently the city of Glendale -- which owns Jobing.com Arena, the team's home -- rejected petitions that would have put Jamison's lease agreement to a public vote and delay the sale. The city faces a hearing on that rejection Monday. The NHL's pursuit of a new owner also has been blocked often by a public-policy advocacy group, the Goldwater Institute. Glendale twice has staved off the group's attempts to torpedo the lease with Jamison. The Coyotes are coming off a season in which they won the Pacific Division. Jamison is scheduled to speak with unrestricted free agent Shane Doan, the team's longtime captain, about a contract this week." 4. I think the Sabres definitely made an offer and the reporting Stinks! Just my .02 Or in other words....sit and wait.
  5. Couple of items today: ".....Should Doan choose to leave the Coyotes, he could have a new address quickly. "I wouldn't be shocked if we had a decision next week," Bross said. Last week, Doan visited with the New York Rangers and Philadelphia Flyers. Doan and Bross are expected to continue visiting with teams, even planning a flight Thursday night to meet with suitors on the East Coast, but that was put on hold to await news from Jamison. Visits with other clubs could resume after Doan hears from Jamison. Montreal could be the next destination. "I think it's a possibility," Bross said about the Canadiens...... Read more: http://www.azcentral...l#ixzz21qBM6ZQu According to Aaron Ward of TSN, the Detroit Red Wings are out of the running in the Shane Doan sweepstakes because his asking price is reportedly "too high." Doan would have fit nicely in Detroit, since the Red Wings are looking to add some leadership to help smooth the post-Nik Lidstrom era. It hasn't been the most successful offseason for Detroit, missing out on Ryan Suter, Rick Nash, and now, Doan. With no standout additions up front, the Red Wings will need some of their secondary players to step up offensively next season. Doan is reportedly meeting with the Montreal Canadiens next week. The San Jose Sharks, Vancouver Canucks, Los Angeles Kings, New York Rangers, and Pittsburgh Penguins have all been linked to Doan as possible suitors. 6. Just found this on rotoworld from today.... "....Doan has met with Jamison and is giving the former San Jose Sharks CEO until Friday to see if he can make some more progress or get close to finalizing the sale. Jamison wants Doan to re-sign with Coyotes but still can’t say a purchase of the team is a done deal. If Doan can’t get serious assurances that the Coyotes sale will happen he will look at signing outside of Phoenix and will narrow that list down...." Linky: http://www.bizjourna...xtended-to.html
  7. Yes, it seems like the league hit the SSSSSSNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOZZZZZZZZZZZ button like 42 times in a row. I've never done that though.
  8. F5 F5 F5 F5 C'mon Buddy Gitter' Done! Oh wait, am I in the wrong forum!?!
  9. The question was not if he had a positive opinion about him. Look at the goalie he currently plays with. Look at the goalies of all the other teams he's looking at. Also look at the other teams depth. It's not like he's thinking.........Brodeur is OK.....but man if I could team up with the guy with the most average stats the last couple years that's where I want to go. All I'm saying is.....he probably cares A LOT more about 1. $$$$ 2. Chances of winning. 3. What other forwards he might play with. To think Miller would factor in one iota is ludicrous.
  10. "Is there any elaboration on your part, or shall we try to decipher your mixed emotions there? (by the way, there are more emotions in your post than in a middle school hallway): Just didn't know how to respond to someone who actually thinks that someone is going to sign here b/c of Miller. And I like MILLER. So my response was a mixture of laughter, crying, disdain, disbelief, sarcasm and surprise that someone would actually say it with a straight face!! Again, and I am a fan of Miller. But I am not such a sophomoric homer to think that would be the case.
  11. :flirt: :w00t: :wallbash: :P  :censored:   Seriously!!!!!?!!?!!?! :wallbash:
  12. You are an idiot. How the hell could you say Roy is a 'total locker room cancer' without ever having been in a locker room? Oh except when your sister played pee-wee and you went into the locker room to pick up her equipment.
  13. „Samozřejmě vím, co chci,“ řekl Sportu samotný gólman. „I můj agent to ví. Ale jinak se k tomu nebudu vyjadřovat,“ uvedl Hašek, ovšem alespoň připustil, že už se intenzivně začal připravovat na další sezonu!! :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash:
  14. He just needs to give Danny Boy a call for some HGH. Easy as that.
  15. Also, I have gone to Bills/Sabres bars in different cities around the country.....Use this site from BuffaloBills.com. Most places that are "Bills Bars" are also Sabres Bars!! http://www.buffalobills.com/fans/billsbackers/backer-locator-map.html Link is to Bills backers but it has an easy interactive map and they aren't meeting at the local church to back the bills and sabres....They take over the bars. Heck I live in the middle of Virginia now.....Guess what, there's a friggin Bills/Sabres bar here. Population: 150,OOO. So I'm sure you can find one in most any city. Go Sabres!!!!!!!!! Let's hurt somebody in game 3! :wallbash:
  16. I lived in Chicago for 10 years. There were are two Bills/Sabres Bars in Lincoln Park. Lincoln Station AND just down the street is Delilah's. Delilah's has by far the loudest craziest Buffalo Fans anywhere....The place is a friggin riot. I could tell stories of that place for days. Goto both. They are one block apart. Also across the street from Lincoln Station you can get wings, pizza etc and bring it back to Delilah's. They don't serve food. (who cares). Owner of Delilah's is Mike. Went to the bar for about 9 years in a row. It is literally as loud as Ralph Wilson Stadium. A friggn blast. Probably what I miss most about Chi-town. FYI: Mike designed the bar kinda like the old Pink Flamingo in Buffalo....everyone is welcome. Super nice guy. Damn, I want to go watch a game there again! ps---you would never know it's a Buffalo Bar (other than the flag on game days). Otherwise they play punk music and it's a whiskey bar.
