  1. Briere is out w/ a hip problem - Roy may be back in.

Is anyone else watching this on Center Ice and getting the FSN-P feed? These guys are horrible! In the last minute they saw a phantom puck (it clearly was at the top of the crease and put in after the whistle) and struggled to count to 5 when figuring if it was a power play or 4 on 4. And.... If Crosby beat Biron like a rented mule, What do you relate Max's goal to?

And speaking of MAx - I think he has 3 points already tonight.

  2. Fitzpatrick took Birons stick with him on the firsat goal as he tried to get back to his check.

Roy told Rick that it is pronounced Roo Wah last week when Tallinder and Lydman also had their pronunciations corrected. (I can't remember the exact way it as worded but Derek said something about being originally from French background or his family is or something. Also, Pittsburgh has a "Roy" French Canadien and the announcer is probably just used to it.

    And yes, they suck.

  3. Usually you can get the game notes from the home page, but there is no link yet today. It mentions Pominville being recalled. Leighton being sent back and Pyatt placed on IR. I guess Dumont and Briere are maybe and Noronen is ok to back up.

  4. If Biron starts tonight, and plays decent, but not spectacular, who thinks Noronen should start Sat.? What would it take to have Noronen start? And if he did start, what would he need to do to play the bulk until Miller returns? Just throwing it out there to get opinions....

  5. If Miller is out a full 6 weeks he will need Noronen. Problem that I see is has he screwed him up to the point of no return? Since we carried all 3 would it have been so har to at least rotate mika and Marty as the back ups instead of completely astrosizing Mika?

  6. Remember, it wasn't Broduer in net V. the Devils and they struggled. And the Devils are not anywhere near as good as the Senators. That said, if the Sabres work hard and play smart, they can be in any game. And with their speed they can pressure teams into making mistakes. It is just that their margin of error is smaller than most teams. If they miss empty nets or fail to finnish when they have good scoring chances they lose. If they are able to capitalize on their chances, and with their speed and IF THEY WORK HARD they get plenty of them, they should do well
