A lot of speculation on this whole concussion deal. I often deal with concussions as part of my work and its a very very subtle treatment protocol and no two people or two situations are the same.The rule of thumb is to be on the cautious side. Miami obviously wasnt cautious. Most of us who have been around a while have seen the pattern of a guy getting concussed...then returning too soon.And then getting re-concussed after any type of(even fairly soft) contact to the head directly or from a whiplash scenario from the neck. A very sad situation and likely preventable if full healing is allowed..In other words if he is automatically grounded from play for a considerable amt of time. Trent Edwards was a mediocre- avg type QB with a soft arm before the concussion. YES he had one good game after returning but his concussion had not fully healed .Often we see post concussion people who become asymptomatic go out and engage in rigorous activities shortly after...The problem is that the dura around the brain is newly healed but is not yet strong enough to do its job. Many small hits or the constant pounding of jogging or other physical activity can re-damage that protective layer and you are back where you started even after some delay. You could have a nice jog where you felt good.Or you could play a football game where you didnt take any brutal hits. -But damage was still done .And the next activity may bring back moderate to severe symptoms.

that was awful...well the Bills 2 week dynasty is over. time to get back to reality. we are NOT the team to beat.We will be in the mix among 7 or 8 teams at the end. belichek coaches this team they coast to the SB. We cant manage the clock. A junior league team manages the clock better.

We just arent an intelligent football team. Starting with the HC. Same thing as last year nothing has changed.

Josh and Bills cant win in the clutch..yet. They still need to improve in many ways.

Lets hope Josh can still walk when he is 35. Kelly was throwing like The Tin man(unoiled) for the last few years of his career. One good thing is that Josh seems to be not overdoing it on the weights..And keeping a reasonable weight(235 is not a lot for a guy 6 5). Rodgers can still throw late in his career cuz he never got into that muscle man stuff. he looks much more cool on the left

Pittsburgh is a great franchise.Something that the Bills and Bengals can strive for one day. A bad season for them is 8-8 and they are always competitive.Trubisky--a space filler--will still be servicable enough to allow pitt to win 8-10 games. And this is still an off kinda year for them.

of course--but it was a major coaching eff up by cinci. i put trubisky in there with the fitzys of the world. hey--but i wish him well and hope he proves me wrong

Josh is playing like no other QB I have seen at this point(style-wise)..But you are correct he hasnt accomplished tremendous things yet.--he is awfully fun to watch though:)

This may be the all time regretville move in Browns history. Mayfield is a good young QB who needs to grow up a bit. Good/potentially excellent QBs are a rarity. Nice work giving CAR a gold plated gift.

and Luce only missed 15 games in 9 yrs as well,...Talk about tough guys on a line.And not dirty players like the Flyers.I used to run into Luce all the time in Williamsville at Clearfield plaza..Tall and Skinny but super wiry.probbly 2 % body fat
