    Ok, who logged on as Deluca tonight...that can't possibly be him. Ha, just kidding. Just a thought for Pat Quinn, instead of complaining about all the penalties this year why don't you make your team a little more disciplined.

    Lindy could stress just to put the puck on the net & good things will happen.

     

    1. You could score

    2. You could get a rebound and another get another scoring opportunity.

     

    If you miss the net, #1 or #2 above can't happen.

     

    This has nothing to do with talent. It's a lack of focus & discipline.

    As many shots as they missed last night, they did get the puck on net a lot as well. So it's a bigger problem than just that.

    I was going to ask why Tallinder was getting so much ice time but then saw that McKee and Lydman are both out.

     

    Tallinder needs to get his head back. He has already had at least 2 bad giveaways. Someone told me his wife had a baby about 2 weeks ago. His play has seemed to slump off since that time. He definitely needs to find a way to focus back on the game or the Sabres are in trouble.

     

    During the broadcast the Canes announcers said that Carolina is down to 5 d (that was before Hedican got cut). Does anybody know what happened to their d corp? They usually go w/ 7.

    Speaking of Tallinder, he should get an assist on the second Carolina goal.

    What did you expect.

     

    You sit two goalies for the first month of the season. Give one a token start. And then expect them to shut down the best team in hockey.

     

    Take a good look at the Sen's.

     

    They have had the same problems off the ice as Buffalo has had. They even have to deal with the currencey issue. And yet they are miles and miles ahead of the Sabres.

     

    And by the way. Who is the Sen's GM? Who traded for Heatley?

     

    OK. Come on. Start posting on how Regier is a great GM. Larry Quinn is moron. Getting rid of Muckler and signing the cheapest priced guy they could find. Muckler is building a Cup team in Ottawa just like he did in Buffalo. I doubt they will be as stupid as Quinn was and fire him before he is done. ;)

    I didn't expect them to shut down the Sens. I didn't think we were going to win tonight, even with Miller in (I have him in my fantasy league and he is sitting on the bench tonight), but I expected us to hold them to single digits!

     

    And you will never see me say Regier is a great GM.
