  1. It doesn't help that much. There's a saying in golf -- hit it and hope.

Seriously? This is what you posted:

"Re: team attitude, I HATE this comment by Marcus Foligno. If this isn't a loser's mentality, I don't know what is. (Taro, white courtesy phone for a Dick Jauron recollection, Taro...)"

‘”It’s tough to put wins together in this league. You start getting to even about six in a row and it’s a lot,” Foligno said prior to Thursday’s game against the Chicago Blackhawks."

I simply posted the whole comment to put it in context and instead of you feeling embarrassed for taking something totally out of context you brush it off with some nonsensical golf ditty. I'm sure there are enough legitimate reasons to criticize the Sabres without making stuff up.

  2. Yes, Sabres fans sit around during intermission dreaming up witty comments for when the Sabres score on a carryover power play.

Every time I see a "highlight" of his, it screams beer league.

Fine for a fan to think that way. If the team thinks that way, and they probably do... not so much.

‘”It’s tough to put wins together in this league. You start getting to even about six in a row and it’s a lot,” Foligno said prior to Thursday’s game against the Chicago Blackhawks.

This is the full quote when he was asked about his brother's teams winning streak:

CHICAGO -- For just a second, move past the fact his brother is the captain. Sabres winger Marcus Foligno feels like lots of other NHL players: What the Columbus Blue Jackets have done this season is pretty awesome.

The Jackets' 16-game winning streak ended Thursday night in Washington, one game shy of tying the NHL record of 17 set by the Pittsburgh Penguins in 1993. And it's one of several big runs in the NHL this year.

"It's tough to put wins together in this league. You start getting to even about six in a row and it's a lot," Foligno said prior to Thursday's game against the Chicago Blackhawks. "But a lot of teams are going to 8-10-12 wins. It's something that gives us some hope."

Foligno said he talked to brother, Nick, during Christmas break when Columbus was at 12 games and the report he was given made an impression.

  3. Hey all,

I have been a lifelong sabres and bills fan because my entire family is from buffalo.  But I have never lived in the area, until next month when I'm making the move.  So I had some questions I hope some of my fellow sabres-fans can help me out with.

    1.  What are the best neighborhoods

    2.  What are some of your favorite restaurants

    3.  Best winter activities?

    4.  What are your thoughts on politics, trump, and fracking?

Go to PPP over at The Stadium Wall at twobillsdrive for politics so that it doesn't interfere with hockey talk.

  4. I have Dish Network and purchased the NHL Center Ice Subscription; however, I don't get any Buffalo broadcast feeds.

I'm sure it doesn't matter who the provider is right? Center Ice is Center Ice, they should provide a Buffalo feed.

How is it possible that there is no Buffalo Feed?

Dish does not carry MSG even in WNY.

  5. Seeing my old relatives round the corner from 75 to 85 to 95 I'd be satisfied with 80. Most of what I've seen hasn't been pretty after that. Given the life I've lived, I probably won't have to worry about it. Also, both my parent got the big C.

Ya never know. My grandmothers died at 97 and 98. My parents are still going strong at 90 and 88. (my father robbed the cradle) I figure I get at least 10 years taken off my life for being a Bills and Sabres fan.

  6. You would think being thrown off a team and investigated for sexual assault within the past year would be a good enough wake up call. What a dummy. Murray should get out of this mistake ASAP and trade him this deadline. More than enough proof by now that it's not going to get any better.

Thrown off a team? Investigated for sexual assault? I hope you never get jury duty.

  7. Samson and Risto and O'Reilly were our best players tonight. Jack played better, but I'm not sure what he was doing that play where Kane had the puck behind the net, and he just stood there, about 2 feet away, with no way to receive a pass. Bogosian played the worst I've ever seen him. Moulson was very meh. Chad was bad. Can't expect a backup to stay at .954.

Chad was not at .954. He was something like .912 prior to this game.

  8. I like the way Weave and weave both look (as in physical shape of the word).  qwksnd looks so much better to me than Qwksnd.  That big, dumb Q just ruins the look.

I'm very (case) sensitive guy.  Speaking of personal problems, I have an apostrophe to share with you.   '

As a sensitive guy, you should understand that as long as you are not trying to share your colon with me, I'll be ok. The thought of that would turn my exclamation point into a comma.

  9. Ivan is going to through out a name for everyone to consider as a target for GMTM.  It's a name to begin healthy debate on the board.

Ivan will hunt you down and smack you with the Polish Hammer if you give him crap for bringing up this player!!!!

    Cody Franson

    Carry on...

Ah Ivan, this is why your wrestling career never went very far. You should have thrown them out of the ring rather than have some Oda Mae Brown moment.
