  1. That's just it.. half the time, I'm actually interested in the story but don't want to watch the stupid video and the three commercials it comes with. I don't have sound on my computer at work. Even if I did, I wouldn't want to annoy those around me.
  2. Overly interactive websites. I just want text half the time. I don't want to watch a flash movie. CNN is especially bad about this. At least give me a freaking text option. If someone could write some software that would convert the audio stream into text, they'd make a mint. Sean Hannity. Political beliefs aside, this guy is a tool. Stations that pass him off as "news" or "on the right side of the issues" are even worse. I hate sitting through his righteous crap when I simply want to hear how bad traffic is. Is it bad that I'm starting to actually look forward to this thread? I'll be on my way to work and think... "gee, I can post that when Thursday gets here!"
  3. My employer is using the banking situation as an excuse not to pay us bonuses this year as well.... But pay attention to the quarterly reports, stock grants for everyone *one* layer above me. 1. Tip jars at coffee shops. I thought it was the give-a-penny jar (as it wasn't marked). You should have seen the look on the girl's face when I reached in and grabbed a nickel because I was short five cents. I realized my mistake and dropped $1 in. They got a good laugh out of it. I paid for my coffee out of the tip jar... whoops. 2. Douche bags that get into political conversations over lunch at work. What's worse? They're both FAR opposite sides of the spectrum. On quotes Michael Moore, the other quotes Sean Hannity. 3. News outlets that introduce the Sean Hannity show as "news." 4. Designer dogs with those faggily little "bennifer" style names.
  4. I've never been one to stomach corporate feel good crap myself, so I agree 100% percent.
  5. I like the concept, but just reading that site? You'd think everyone was a 'Internet Marketing Visionary' or something silly like that.
  6. Fluff ball recommendations on LinkedIn.com. You know the type... "Soandso is an experienced manager with the skill set to drive productivity and deliver on a tight schedule." What utter ballwashing. Why can't people say it like it is? I'd like to hear what most of those people REALLY think.
  7. When in doubt, I tip. The car dryer, the hair cut lady, the movers, the fluffer, the kid taking the groceries to my car, and so on... I cut way back for jobs I know aren't tip dependent, but I always tip. I spilled a whole class of pop on myself a few years back and the waitress had to clean up the table and the surrounding floor. I left her a $20 on about a $25 dollar bill.
  8. I was just going to post something exactly like that. :D I'm getting pretty damn sick of 'get ahead at all costs' corporate tools. Get ahead on ability and know-how, not spin and information hoarding. Working sucks. Oh what I'd give to be self employed. Maybe I'll start a software business of some sort. There, not bad for my first complaint on a Thursday!
  9. I've got decent tickets for the Buff game in Atlanta on Tuesday - oh that ought to be a good one!
  10. I agree. Ryan's not the problem. It's the defense and the lack of physical play. Hell, even some of the puck handling has been suspect. I've gotta believe Ruff sees the same stuff a bunch of beer swilling message board fans see and that he's trying to correct it. -Jeff
  11. Yeah. I don't think it's *that* bad, but at the same time I'm feeling quite let down. I really hope they get this ship turned around. I'm starting to feel the cold breath of the Buffalo Sports Specter on the back of my neck. I'm not going to rationalize this one away though, our team is needing to seriously get back on track. Living in Atlanta, if the Thrashers come up and take 1st into the playoffs, I'm not sure my heart can take all of the bandwagon-hopping I'll have to put up with. -Jeff
  12. Oh what the.... is this last night all over again? I think it's almost time to hit the panic button.
  13. Really? I just turned it on.... they still looking bad?
  14. This one is pissing me off!
  15. Wow. I really wasn't expecting a game like this against Columbus. Oh come on.... 3-2 bad guys. Coupled with the Columbus announcers...barf.
  16. Right right - I don't blame Marty for that one either, perhaps poor wording on my part.
  17. Damn it.... figures. That's a weak freakin' goal. Sabres are looking pretty bad thus far. Puck handling, timing....
  18. Sabres look disorganized thus far....
  19. Or another short handed one to really put a nail in your :censored: game. We've seen a Tale of Two Teams tonight.
  20. There's another one. That'll just about do it for this one.
  21. And they take the lead again...There are too many leafs fans in the house.
  22. I saw that. Buff gets away with a quite a bit, too. I agree. Tonight's problem is that we've been playing like we've been on the PP all night. -Jeff :)
  23. Yeah... it's sucking like :censored: clockwork. We're giving up a chance per PP.
  24. He can always wipe the OS out and start again with precautions. Doesn't have to deal with it that slow! PP's still weak.. gotta get that fixed.
  25. It's the PP performance. It's getting old and it's getting on folks' nerves. -Jeff
