'“Max is doing a lot better,” the Sabres’ coach said. “He’s had three good days of skating on his own. Participated at I would say 85 percent level [Sunday]. Didn’t want him to go all out, but you could see he was skating well. The plan is the next few days get him in a full practice and try to get him to full speed. I would think that the way things are progressing, he’s one or two good practices from playing.”'
