‘There is a sense that the Sabres are supremely motivated by coming so close last season. They’ve dealt with the disappointment and taken the positive out of coming so close while battling so hard with a depleted lineup. No sour grapes. No woe is us. The Buffalo Sabres are off to a great start so far at 3-0-0. It hasn’t been pretty at times but at the end of the day, the two points are going up into the standings. Chris Drury (#1) is playing like a leader and a man whose contract is up at the end of this season.

He is not going to paint it until he knows who he will finally end up with. Biron was the difference in the Sabres return to Ottawa Saturday night. He also knows that he will have to go back to the bench for the majority of the season.
