The left winger, acquired at the beginning of the season from Montreal in the waiver draft, scored 25 goals during the 1981-82 season, his only one in Buffalo and his last one in the NHL. Lambert had played for Sabres' GM and coach Scotty Bowman in Montreal. January 15, 2004 Sergei Samsonov scores the game's only goal as Felix Potvin and the Bruins shut out the Sabres, 1-0, at HSBC Arena.
