November 15, 1970

In a small moral victory, the infant Sabres franchise earns a point in the Montreal Forum against the Canadiens in a 2-2 tie. The Habs had shut out the Sabres 3-0 on opening night at the Aud and destroyed them 11-2 a week before in Montreal.

 

November 15, 1995

Kicking off their "Legends of the Aud" campaign in the building¹s final season, the Sabres retire the French Connection. Numbers 7 (Rick Martin) and 14 (Rene Robert) join Gilbert Perreault¹s 11 in the rafters of the old barn. Perreault¹s number was retired in 1990.
