The Thin Blue Line Stands Tall at the Blue Line

It seems to me that Carolina likes to sweep in from the line rather than play in the corners. The Sabres like to dump and chase. By dumping in the corners, it allows the Carolina players to forecheck. How about a role reversal tonight? How about we build a wall at the blue line and dump anybody coming over. If they dump it into the corners we forecheck the skates off of them. And then we sweep in the offensive zone rather than dump in.. Stay with it even if it doesn't work right away. Stay off the boards in the offensive zone as much as possible and avoid the checks where the Hurricanes leave their feet. We can't trade defensemen for powerplay opportunities tonight.
