Only the BJs have sucked worse giving up 7 of 14. 18 teams have given up 2 or fewer PP goals. The Otters have given up 8. Only 2 others have given up more than 4. Sometimes it's good to play a bad team. That's always disappointing... 1 Quote

I brought this up in a previous thread but watch the replay of his 2nd PP goal last night. Right off the faceoff he goes immediatly to the net. He doesn't look around, he doesn't skate to the slot and wait for to get his hands on the puck there. Nothing fancy. Its like right before the faceoff he is repeating in his head over and over "get to the front of the net, get to the front of the net" and when the puck drops that is the only action he takes. Yes, he's a battler. Daddy taught him well. This has been the flaw until this point. Not enough complimentary players to balance lines and formations. Doan is that big hard working two way guy that can get you points paired with top talent and helps make top talent look better. He's a good addition. I'd like to see him throw his weight around even more but maybe that comes with time and confidence. He's still young and this is his first real go in a top 6 role. It's encouraging. 1 Quote
