NHL announces schedule for 2006 Conference Finals

 

NEW YORK - The 2006 Eastern Conference Final opens Saturday, May 20, when the Carolina Hurricanes host the Buffalo Sabres, the National Hockey League announced today.

 

The Western Conference Final, between the Anaheim Mighty Ducks and the winner of the San Jose Sharks-Edmonton Oilers series, will start Friday, May 19 or Sunday, May 21. All Western Conference Final games will start at 6 p.m., local time.

 

EASTERN CONFERENCE FINAL

I'm surprised to see Game 7 of the Eastern Conf Finals scheduled for June 1st. According to the RBC Center website, Sesame Street on Ice is scheduled for a 7pm performance that night.

I wonder if the NHL got Sesame Street to move, or if the NHL will adjust their schedule. I suppose playing back to back games at some point during the series would be the most logical means of fixing this.
