On the third anniversary of the Czech Republic's gold medal victory, Dominik Hasek is in an Olympic-sized zone as he makes 24 saves and earns his second consecutive shutout in a 1-0 blanking of the Devils in New Jersey. Hasek's league-leading eighth shutout and the Sabres' fourth straight win are not secured until video replay shows an apparent tying New Jersey goal came a split second after time expired in the third period. It's a rare replay victory for a Buffalo sports team. Dave Andreychuk scores the winning goal when he accepts a pass from Vaclav Varada and deflects it over Martin Brodeur while falling backwards to the ice just above the blue-tinted crease. Andy's 1,200th career point is classic. The win is the Sabres' fifth in a row over the Devils, outscoring them 20-3 over that span.
