February 16, 1977

Don Edwards records his first career shutout in just his third NHL start. The rookie turns aside all 23 Chicago shots in a 3-0 Sabres' win at the Aud.

 

February 16, 1983

Boston goaltender Pete Peeters comes to town with a 31-game unbeaten streak, one shy of the NHL record. He leaves with a loss the Sabres beat the Bruins 3-1 at the Aud.

 

February 16, 2004

Miroslav Satan scores four goals to lead the streaking and suddenly high-scoring Sabres to a 7-2 rout of the Atlanta Thrashers at HSBC Arena. Satan's second goal is the 250th of his career, and his third goal represents his 500th career point. Danny Briere, captain of the month in February, adds a goal and two assists, and Mika Noronen (remember him?) loses a shutout bid in the third period.
