The record stands to this day as the most points by a Sabre in a game. Another record from that game that never has been broken is three goals by both teams in 18 seconds, two by California and one by Buffalo's Dan Gare. February 1, 1996 Head coach Ted Nolan and general manager John Muckler are in rare agreement as Muckler executes a trade with the Florida Panthers for defenseman Bob Boughner in exchange for a conditional fourth-round pick. Nolan, who coached the Boughie Man in juniors, wanted to add toughness and character to his team. February 1, 2000 Dominik Hasek returns to the lineup and plays brilliantly in a 2-2 tie with Anaheim at HSBC Arena.
