We have an AHL caliber coaching staff. With the exception of Benson, I cannot think of a single player who I thought had a decent 1st period out there.

Cozens failed to get back to cover the 3rd man in....lost the faceoff as well. Not a good shift for him. Now 2-0...going to be a long night

With GMKA, it's always too little, too late. He'll maybe get a chance for another coaching hire before he himself is gone, but by then what year will that be?!?!

Missed tonight's game, but sounds like I didn't miss much. That said, I have no confidence GMKA will do his job and make changes.

I doubt he'll make any moves to acquire any vet talent in season. Part of his rationale is having only players who "want" to be here. As much as I'd like to see more experienced power forward type players, he is too inflexible.

Perhaps, but I think it was foolish for him to think that Levi could find his game playing 1 out of 3 games and presumably not getting enough reps to hone his game to the pro level. IMHO - Levi needs more minutes to improve, which wasn't happening with the 3-headed scenario.

Somebody please tell GMKA that it's November 28th, not September 28th. The man is perpetually too slow to respond in doing the obvious right things, despite the overwhelming voices of fans, media, etc. trying to help him with his putting.

I would be much happier if they had actually played at an 85% for more of the games in the 1st quarter of the season. They could otherwise be in a playoff position such that they won't have to play at 110% for every game in the final quarter of the season (just to get in).

I am very curious as to the term of an agreement that he signs. Wondering if Detroit was willing to give 3 or more years to get him onboard.

Not surprising. Had he signed with Buffalo, that would have sold a few more tickets, but I would prefer to see a more physical forward in his prime. Yes, that would require a trade vs. signing a UFA Kane, which remains to be seen if GMKA will do his job or nothing (as usual).

TUCH!!! IMHO - when TNT got hurt, Tuch should have been paired with Mitts (vs. Cozens), once Tuch was healthy enough to play.

Has anybody heard any recent comments from GMKA on the state of his team and this season's performance? If so, what has he said?

Plus they brought in experienced talent....Meier, Toffoli, Hamilton, etc.
