BRING ON STAMKOS!!! dsdf

Not much Ennis in the third period, is he on the bench? Wondering if maybe he was hurt, or if Lindy simply benched him because LA's 2nd goal was somewhat his fault? Or is it just because Connolly/Pommer/Hecht have earned their ice time tonight.
-
Niedermayer (-1), Gaustad (-1), Ellis (-1), Stafford (-1), Kaleta (-1), Weber (-1), Adam (-1), Rivet (-2), Sekera (-2), Vanek (-4), Hecht (-5), Connolly (-9), Morrisonn (-9), Pominville (-9), Myers (-9)
So yes, clearly Connolly is the problem.

Check his plus minus before gloat about your stats -9 going into the game. Still is a lazy POS with no heart... Tin Man...
lol

10 pts in the last 14 games, once again one of the most productive Sabres yet takes the bulk of the team's flak.

Correction: It's 1-1

Seems like Ennis is the only player to show up for Sabres so far
Ennis has definitely stood out, but that's not say the rest of the team has been bad. I think the Sabres are playing pretty well other than the penalties they took. And not to say that Miller hasn't been pretty good tonight -- he's made some big saves already -- but let's be honest, he's the only one you can blame on LA's goal. It was a great shot and I'm not saying he "should have" stopped it, but that one isn't on the defense or forwards... if anyone, it's on Miller.
Darcy should call up Luke Adam. What does Buffalo have to lose?
The sky is not falling. It's 1-0. Who had that bad of a period (or that bad of a 5-6 game stretch) that you want Luke Adam called up?
The Western Conference has an overwhelming edge over the Eastern because of their youth. Youth means speed.
Buffalo has alot of older, stodgy guys because they are conservative and go with the tried and true. Buffalo should
get alot more youth on the team and get rid of the elderly statesmen.
More youth? Wasn't it just two years ago that the Sabres were "bad" because they were "too young?"

You realize they are playing one of the best teams in the NHL, right? And that team is going to be PO'd about losing to the Sabres a week ago? And their best player, who is either the best or 2nd-best player in the league, is going to be PO'd about being invisible in that game? Or do you think the great Tim Connolly is going to take over this game and shut down Ovi in the process?
blah blah blah washington is good blah blah ovechkin blah blah -- if the Sabres play well for a full 60 minutes they can beat anyone. anyone can beat anyone with a good effort. Sorry that me having faith in my team is so offensive to a fellow "fan."
-
I think the Sabres need a blowout one of these days. 6-1 Buffalo after a 4 goal first period. #predictions

Wish we could play them
more
Wish we could play on Mondays more
I'm really impressed with our defense. Guess it took time to get the new guys into the mix.
So happy for Myers!!
i'm very content with seeing vancouver twice a year

That was sick. I bet PA never watches a standard def game again

I have not seen the rumor reported either on ESPN or on Ek's site. Are the two bolded sentences things that you know from contacts in the organization, or are they your hunches/hopes? (Not going to criticize if these are hunches; I just cannot tell from the way it's written.)
Strictly hunches and hopes. So I can say TheSportsBuff reported it first... LOL ... (no i did not really write a blog on this)

MORE TO CRAIG RIVET RETIREMENT RUMOR???? Just a thought here guys, don't take it for an actual rumor. I didn't even see the report about the Sabres asking Rivet to retire (on hockeybuzz or otherwise), but what if there's more to it than we think? I think the organization is ready to move on from Rivet probably both as Captain and as a member of their team in general. But pro sports organizations do generally operate with class, and they probably don't want to disrespect a veteran of the game who (it may not be true, but..) they will credit with being a leader for this team through some tough years, some highs and lows etc. My point is they don't want to strip him of captaincy and would rather he retire if he's ready. Rivet thinks he has a few years left and asked for a trade and is being shopped. Derek Roy debuts the "C" tonight.

Another backup? How many does that make this season? It's uncanny.
I noticed that too. But hey, if theres a team you can feel good about playing your backup against, it's the Sabres.

lol montador and myers spend more time laying down on the ice than i do in my bed
-
Seems that passing has been a shortcoming of this team for a number of years. Is it the players? or is it ...?
I don't see how you can really blame a bad pass on anyone BUT the player who made the pass.
-
Keep pretending Lalime is a good goaltender and that it's the team's fault he's won 5 of 35 games the last few years
-
Wow. Kovy lost the puck. Umm, good thing the Sabs didn't sign him, huh?
(Yeah, you know who you are.)
Lol, okay let's not get too carried away here. Kovalchuk is still a Top 10 (maybe Top 5) player in the game. You know you would have welcomed him with open arms had we signed him, so don't act all "HAHA YOU WERE WRONG, I WAS RIGHT" about him just yet.

Ok, what one of you ###### that always spells CONNOLLY as CONNELLY got a job w/ the MSG Sabres broadcast team??
