Why are you insisting on rushing Rosen?  He is still not strong enough and he will get stomped in the NHL.

Comparing Rosen to Quinn:   Rosen is more than a full year younger, he is 2 inches shorter, he is at least 15 pounds lighter, he does not have an NHL 2-way game  - he is not ready.  He needs another year in the AHL at least.

Kulich will get a good look in camp and so will Rousek and Savoie.   With Quinn now injured and out for awhile one of them will get a much longer look.

Thinking that these Rochester players like Rosen and Kulich are going to replace Krebs and Mitts and improve the team THIS YEAR is not reality.

Who did Granato go to for first line support when Tage was hurt?  Answer:  Mitts

Who did Granato give key shut down responsibilities to as the season went on?  Answer: Krebs

Power wasn't strong enough, Quinn and Peterka wasn't strong enough. Dahin his first few years wasn't strong enough. Almost NO Rookie would be strong enough. They rely on skill and speed, Rosen has it all. 5' 11". That is NOT small.

First, your assuming Rosen hasn't been working out and Granto hasn't given him a path. I also listen to other people on Podcasts and they all love Rosen to make the team and have touted him as a Leader heading into Amerks Playoffs. He has grown a lot in Leadership and has proven this in the Amerks Playoff run. His tools are better then Kulich's. So I will listen to them first and my own eyes watching Rosen in Amerks Playoffs.

Personally I think Rousek will make team first, he is a Two way player and PK.

Last point, how did it work bringing in Savoie with no time with Amerks. Savoie flopped. Benched after two losses. Bringing in Amerks when Thompson went down would fail. Even Mitt didn't replace Thompson's production. He did at least keep the 1st line in the mix.

We have a whole offseason to upgrade Sabres in trades UFA/RFA's, Rochester, Minors and our own players upgrading skills. If you think Rochester isn't a BIG way for the Sabres to do that then you haven't been a part of the Sabres as long as I have. The 12 years of no playoffs occured because Rochester wasn't part of the Sabres for years and we had no Farm Team local. Takes awhile to build that back up.

Amerks have arrived before the Sabres as it should be. Sabres will follow from talent back filing Positions more than trades and freeagency will.

Thanks for your time and wisdom

    Quinns on i.r. ?

Probably, my guess is if Sabres on Playoff run, Quinn really hasn't established himself as a need back player for success. That isn't dishing him. 1st year player growing. If Sabres are out of playoff run you might see him back.

Do you ever have anything positive to say or is it just constant negativity in the form of gibberish and incomplete sentences? What would you have done then? Adams was definitely working the phones trying to make a move...

He was Positive, he gave 3 years. Hell I think we are DUN in ONE

I think Krebs will be an important leader of our future team along with cozens and Dahlin.  Also a bottom 6 player with more speed and skill than Okposo and Girgensons.

Would Krebs stay on team 4th line Center or rather get traded to team with possible top 9 spot?

I would think Krebs wants better chance for his NHL Career.

I bet Jack Quinn Will be on the ice practicing by himself or with others no later than November 15th.

I like Quinn, hope your right but here is a very good player that got hurt last year.

Duclair, 27, missed much of the 2022–23 regular season while recovering from a torn Achilles. The speedy winger racked up nine points (two goals, seven assists) in 20 games

    Surgery July 2nd 2022

    Out 60+ games

Achilles recovery is tough. Hope it's not like the NFL, where full recovery seems to be two seasons.

Everything I am readying, be a year for full recovery. Quinn isn't at his peak yet. He can't play at 90%. Thompson moved to wing to play at 80%, Top 10 Center now.

This is Bad news. Krebs can't fill winger role either.

I agree with you that Rosen and Kulich are not NHL ready, but it's worth noting that Kulich put up his numbers despite being 18 for virtually the entire season whereas Quinn was 20 at the start and Peterka turned 20 in January of their AHL season. It's a fair comparison for Rosen.

Rosen and Kulich has something Peterka and Quinn don't have, strong playoff run with wins in AHL series. You only get that playing on strong teams and these two led their team.

Another “fact” this is untrue. Are you going for a record?

That, plus Adams really doesn’t seem like the type of guy who won’t like a player because he didn’t personally draft him. In fact, the same people who wanted Mitts are still with the team. Adams builds a consensus, not dictates.

So there in NOT a Consensus on Kulich, Rousek, Rosen, Savoie, Benson, Östlund

These Players have all been projected up and rising in stock for Top 9 players

Krebs maybe for 4th line. Not a Winger. Just doesn't score goals.

Middlestat, fine player, two way now but just doesn't score goals.

So OK Jost was a Waiver a RFA now. I really don't see how it changes anything. he will come cheap for a 4th line player who plays two positions.

Yes, Dahlin will have a new contract that runs from '24-'25 - '31-'32 (maybe only through '30-'31 but am expecting 8 years).  But that has ZERO to do with what he gets paid in '23-'24 nor his cap hit for '23-'24.  The NHL is not the NFL and contracts are set in stone after they are approved by the NHL unless the player walks away or the NHL buys it out/terminates it for cause.  None of those will affect his current contract.

This is all about 24 and beyond. Talking about money available after that to sign Middlestat. It will take at least 6 mil/yr to sign a 60 pt guy. I say there is no room for Middlestat with the Prospects we have.

Dahlin will not be 11+ mil. He won’t.

Quinn will not be out 6 months. 6 months is December 29th.

I bet he’s back on the ice by November.

No Achilles injury takes 6-12 months for full recovery to play Sports

Yes, Krebs point a game = struggling

Rosen a little over 1/2 a point per game = NHL ready.

    Krebs AHL 21-22   18 games  4 goals and 11 Assists +3

    Kulich AHL 22-23  62 games 24 goals 22 assists   -7

So 3.44X game rate for Kulich

Krebs has in 62 games 13.76 goals  38 Assists     21 of these assists are A2's

Krebs has 3 AHL seasons and the last one in Rochester

Take 24 goals Kulich to a Projected 14 goals for Krebs any day of the week.

Please stop. That is not what Marty said. He said that they could put Savoie in Buffalo for a 9 games, then send him to a conditioning stint, then send him to the WJC which he would have to make the team for. After that he would have to go back to jrs from January until his team is eliminated from the WHL playoffs, which means April. That's what he said. So sure if the WHL team gets eliminated he can go for whatever is left of the AHL playoff season sometime in most likely late April.

Sigh, none of this is accurate.

    So Dahlin will be 10Mil/yr

    And Power Bridge deal 6mil/year

Down to 8 mil and you need 4th Defensive player.

    You know MATH?

You have no idea what you are talking about.

    Jack Quinn AHL: 45games 26g 35a 61pts = 1.356 pts per game

    JJ Peterka AHL: 70games 28g 40a 68pts = 0.971 pts per game

    Isak Rosen AHL: 66games 14g 23a 37pts = 0.561 pts per game

    Jiri Kulich AHL: 62games 24g 22a 46pts = 0.742 pts per game

Rosek and Kulich have not even reached the level of JJP and Quinn at the AHL level and you are in here RANTING about how they are the exact same and screaming about the World Juniors. It isn't the same, they are not ready, they will not be in Buffalo in the 2023 season unless it is really late in the year for a cup of coffee.

How far has Quinn and Peterka gone in AHL playoffs?????? How many Playoff Points??????

  15. 30 minutes ago, LGR4GM said:

They don't play in the same league! This is like arguing that Benson is better than Tage Thompson.

No he didn't. The WJC20 is what you are talking about and Kulich got a Silver medal.

"They don't play in the same league! This is like arguing that Benson is better than Tage Thompson. "

Wow so a Minor League player comparison to a Top 10 Center in the NHL is the same as comparing

a player Krebs with 30 PTS to Player in AHL with more points then Krebs that has gone deep in the Playoffs????

  16. 29 minutes ago, dudacek said:

I know For A Fact! that Kevyn Adams loves Casey Mittelstadt and Peyton Krebs 🙄

Taking a Player at 14th pick just a few years ago with Power means Adams Loves him to fit in current Roster he is building. Neither Krebs or Middlestat are Adam picks.

Middlestat was a 2nd center and failed past Regime. Fine player but he will be too expensive when you have guys like Savoie, Benson, Rosen, Rousek, Kulich and even Krebs for that matter in the wing. Krebs is a fine player but yet has proved he can generate enough PTS and he can't play Wing.

So who goes? Have Jost and Greenway too, Adams traded for both. Still have Victor Olfosson with 28 goals. Remove that how far off are you from Playoffs? Who gets the 28 goals for sure???

Quinn will be out till Midseason now, Achilles.

  17. 52 minutes ago, DarthEbriate said:

And Krebs was dominant in juniors and captained Canada's U18 squad and scored at a point per game in the AHL playoffs, too (granted all assists). Mitts was dynamic for USA at the Worlds. They're all excellent players at the junior/international level.

Not all Great at AHL level, Krebs has struggled there

Nice quotes.  I absolutely agree that he is a good and improving prospect.

However, as a smaller offense first winger, his production alone tells me that he isn’t quite ready for the NHL.  He needs to continue to gain muscle and work on his game.

I don’t believe that his upside is as great as Savoie or Benson’s.

He is 5'11" with the same skating, passing and scoring skills. His frame can get to 200#'s.

Quinn now will lose 6 months time Achilles Injury

  19. 42 minutes ago, LGR4GM said:

That literally cannot happen. It is against the rules.

The Sabres have 14million in capspace, they can easily afford to re-sign Mittelstadt. Hell, you can give him Olofsson's money and trade Olofsson and the capspace doesn't even change.

CHL Expeditions before. Marty Biron stated there is a path, has to do with Savoie playing first 9-10 games with Sabres, he then can go to Amerks for Conditioning Assignment, goes back to minors then. Biron said he then could permanently go to the Amerks before end of year. Just stated this I believe in Yesterday's Podcast of Sabres Live.

As for Cap Space, Dahlin is going to eat up a lot this year with 11+ million long term contract shortly. Powers Might get full contract too but most likely a Bridge Contract. Soon will have to up all the young talent Contracts too of Quinn, Peterka, Levi, etc....

There will be no long term contract for Middlestat, next contract for Middlesat would be minimum 6+ mil/yr

And? This has nothing to do with NHL readiness. Kulich and Rosen are not NHL ready and that is all that matters. Great Rosen scored in the AHL playoffs and so did Kulich, I hope they can take that and be better in the AHL this upcoming season.

Quickly on the bold, if this means the World Jrs than no they did not. Kulich won a silver medal. If it means the World Championship, Kulich wasn't there.

    Bloom was already traded

"Quickly on the bold, if this means the World Jrs than no they did not. Kulich won a silver medal. If it means the World Championship, Kulich wasn't there. "

The Point is they are scoring at a High level where they are. Exact same thing Quinn and Peterka did after 1 year at Amerks. Sabres missed playoffs by 2 pts after being key contributors on top 3 lines. You could say Kulich has done better than both.

Moving out Krebs and Mitts just as they're developing into competent middle 6 role players for kid rookies who still lack the strength to win puck battles and would need to be held off the ice in every 3rd period with a lead is the kind of move that would keep this team churning outside the playoff picture.

I see, Krebs and Middlestat have been leading Sabres to Playoffs past two years? Rosen has more goals then either in 2022-2023 with playoffs and Worlds.

Past year Kulich and Rosen have led their team to the Playoffs and scored. Went to the Worlds and led their teams and also Scored, Kulich won the Championship!

Not saying those players are NOT good but there is no room for them after this year. Guarantee you Kulich and Rousek are in the Sabres future. Rosen could be trade bait but I know for a fact Adams loves him, was picked 14th. Proven he can score in the AHL from Mid season on. By the way, that is what Quinn did too!!!
