Gonna get a good look at Boone Jenner tonight. Would like to have him on the team. Great special teamer, face off winner, checks, decent goal scorer, no nonsense type
Still holding out hope for Chychrun too
Would be very happy with those 2 additions

Wow, listening to Canuck radio and analyst Thomas Drance is saying don't be surprised if Riley Stillman turns into an asset for the Sabres, despite his struggles in Vancouver.
Basically he says Stillman was put in the worst possible position with the Canucks where the system and his partner exacerbated his flaws. Drance says that won't be the case in Buffalo, which is loaded (his words) with defencemen who can move the puck.
Drance thinks he's a viable 6/7 who can grind out neutral minutes on the bottom pair.
Different take from most of the other Canuck-watchers.
I do not think it's possible for him to be worse than Bryson

I agree, Bryson/Clague never had an edge to their game, we need someone to out muscle the other team. My fear is that just because he's a physical player doesn't mean he still wont' suck, aka the Rasmus Ristolainin effect. He'll hit anything that moves but in doing so takes himself out of position, only without any offensive instinct.
The player being checked is also taken out of position

Adams should make a call to Columbus regarding Boone Jenner
-
Anderson starts every 1st period
Comrie starts every second period
UPL starts every 3rd period
No one gets tired

All I know is that the time is right now to make a trade for some defensive reinforcements
Don't want another 2006 playoffs problem on our hands

Hey Siri, how are NHL goals scored.
Are you saying every goal scored is due to a defensive breakdown? What about goals that are tipped? Deflected? Defensive positioning could be sound on those types of goals

It usually shows up in the 3rd if it is going to show up.
No signs yet though. Encouraging

Of course I am, but I have seen the storyline too many times and the third period is going to be nonstop pressure from start to finish by Tampa.
Might be in your best interest to not watch the game at all then

Comrie playing well. Makin up for the lack of shots the Sabres have produced

Set the tone
Gotta score first
Don't look back

This an admirable topic. Good on you for owning your incorrect predictions
Most people cower when they're incorrect
-
For now he is
I dont see any excuse for the putrid display of defense night in and night out though

Excpet Anderson stopped 17 out of 18 shots he faced after he took over, only allowing 1 PP goal where the team in front of him had 2 players take themselves out of position.
Lol with Toronto playing soft up 4
Anderson starts and it's 10-0 in the 1st period

He did play well that game , i give you that.
You can't tell me you're comfortable with him going forward though? (not saying in the future, but this season)
When the other two are Gramps Andy and C list Comrie, I am

Doesn't matter , every game I see him go down, get beaten glove side, poor puck tracking, lateral movement.
Comrie should get more chances than this.
Comrie, Anderson or any AHL scrub gets torched by this Toronto team

It was San Jose...
He played phenomenally regardless...

UPL is becoming a problem. Maybe he's run out of gas, i'm not sure, but they can't ride him. He's just not that good right now and out of form.
Except in that San Jose game 1 game ago? What?

He had a great shot against Calgary too.
And that great shot has generated exactly 9 goals all season

He should have been included in the O'Reilly deal but Botterill wimped out
He's not worth it now
Botterill got the Tage part correct though
