    Sounds like institutional arrogance where they just assumed they'd be able to get him to sign an extension without any assurances. Hope they get burnt, they deserve it.

    I like the extension. Greenway brings an element this team sorely lacks, is usually pretty noticeable when he's out there...and in a good way. The risk is that he seems to be hurt pretty frequently, but it's not a bank breaking contract, so not overly concerned. We need more players like him.

    Sadly, I think you're right and I don't think it's in the distant future. If (when) they miss the playoffs next season, wouldn't surprise me at all if he says he's had enough.

    Yep, McDermott and some of he Bills were there tonight...to witness the team vociferously booed off the ice. Seriously, that was the loudest chorus of boos I've heard there in quite a while and the joint was 85% empty at that point.
