I watch a lot of hockey. Setting my bias aside, Dahlin along with Morrissey up in WPG are the best defensemen I've seen play this year. Both are solid both ways and have elevated their team's play. Karlsson is wicked with the puck, but he isn't even noticeable defensively and doesn't elevate the team. Karlsson is a -1 for the year even with all those points, Morrissey +8, Dahlin currently sits at +22. It should be his to lose. But...points...Karlsson.

Would you have preferred they lost 9-0? This is the youngest team in the league. They are still in a rebuild. Toronto has one of the deepest, most talented, most experienced rosters in the league. These games are going to happen against teams like that until these guys grow and more pieces are added. You can just get pissed off after games like this or you can take a step back and look at it for what it is. Two years ago this was the worst team by a lot. We aren’t there yet.

At least the boys didn’t roll over. After that initial blitzkreig, they played decently. On to the next one…

Probably, but I think good chance he's a very strong backup or 1b in a couple of years.

He's 23. He's a work in progress. He's not my biggest concern. We have to get to a point where we don't have pylons like Bryson and Clague getting significant ice time and guys like Quinn and JJP time to get their legs under them. This sucks, but it's easy to forget we're still the youngest team in the league by a bunch.
